The Mark’s Augustinus Bader spa will not chase sheer scale. It will have three treatment rooms: the first for facials, the second for body treatments, the third fitted with a hyperbaric chamber, a sealed, pressurised enclosure. According to the hotel and the brand, the chamber will be used for recovery after treatments and aesthetic procedures. The opening is slated for late November 2026, with no exact date announced so far.

Charles Rosier, co-founder and CEO of Augustinus Bader, describes the space as a “cocoon” in the Upper East Side, “not just a spa but an experience”. For the hotel, Elon Kenchington, The Mark’s general manager, says every detail has been considered for style, comfort and discretion, to deliver an experience that is “distinctly The Mark”.

In New York, Augustinus Bader treatments were until now offered in the partner spas of the Four Seasons New York Downtown and the Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad, the latter with an exclusive version of The Method treatment. At The Mark, the brand will this time have a spa bearing its own name.

The brand’s largest spa is in Paris: the Augustinus Bader Spa at Hôtel Costes, 1,000 m² opened in November 2025. American hotels are betting on branded spas too: in Florida, The Nora hotel is home to the state’s first Sisley spa.
