Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Jacksonville

In Jacksonville, Florida, the hotel will be the centrepiece of the Jacksonville Shipyards, a former shipyard being redeveloped on the banks of the St. Johns River, near the stadium of the Jaguars American football team, whose owner Shahid Khan is behind the project. The 2023 announcement promised 170 rooms and suites, 26 residences, a rooftop restaurant, a spa and pools, to plans by the HKS practice.

Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara

Closed for renovation, the Biltmore is due to reopen in 2027 facing Butterfly Beach. Its Spanish Colonial-style villas and bungalows are spread across 9 hectares of gardens between the Pacific and the Santa Ynez Mountains; Hollywood was already coming here in the 1930s. The post-renovation room count has not been disclosed.

The Park Gstaad, A Four Seasons Hotel

Opened in 1910 as Gstaad’s first five-star hotel, the Park will reopen in summer 2027 under the Four Seasons banner, after a complete redesign of its interiors by French designer Joseph Dirand. It will have 75 rooms and suites, seven restaurants and bars, and a spa with two Clinique La Prairie treatment rooms. The postponement of the opening to 2027 was already covered in our article on the Park Gstaad; in the French Alps, the group also runs the palace hotel in Megève.

Four Seasons Hotel Berlin

Four Seasons is taking over the Hotel de Rome, on Bebelplatz, and returning to Berlin after a twenty-year absence. The late 19th-century building was the headquarters of the Dresdner Bank before becoming a hotel in 2006. Studio Humbert & Poyet is redesigning around 140 rooms and suites, and the spa will occupy a former jewellery vault. Opening in 2027.

Medina, Jeddah, Beirut: three exceptional views

The Four Seasons Hotel Madinah will open in mid-2027 a short walk from the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina: 246 rooms including 36 suites, each with a mihrab, the niche that shows the direction of prayer. At the same time in Jeddah, the Four Seasons on the Corniche will line up 269 rooms and suites facing the Red Sea, in a tower designed by the American firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, near the old Al-Balad district and the Formula 1 circuit.

In Beirut, the Four Seasons Hotel Beirut will reopen in summer 2027 with 230 renovated rooms, including 60 suites. It will keep its rooftop pool on the 26th floor and add a Peruvian restaurant billed as the highest table in the city.

Egypt is due two new addresses in 2027. In Luxor, all 200 rooms will look out over the Nile, the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens, just south of Luxor Temple; the architecture is by WATG. In Madinaty, a new town east of Cairo, Pierre-Yves Rochon is designing 346 rooms and suites, 107 villas and 80 residences in the middle of a 185-hectare park.

In late 2027, the Four Seasons Resort Zanzibar will open 60 villas across 50 hectares of seafront at Pongwe, on the island’s east coast. Conceived as a beach stop after a safari at the Four Seasons in the Serengeti, it will have five restaurants and a centre devoted to nature conservation. Further north, the group is also preparing a resort clinging to the cliffs of Tangier, in Morocco.

Okinawa, the first Four Seasons resort in Japan

On Okinawa’s west coast, about 50 km from Naha airport, Four Seasons will open its first resort in Japan, on 40 beachfront hectares. The architects, Kengo Kuma, designer of Tokyo’s Olympic Stadium, and Kuniken, the island’s largest architecture practice, draw on the island’s landscapes and culture. The 2019 announcement promised 120 rooms, 120 residences and 40 villas; the group’s openings page now lists it for 2027.

By yacht or private jet: the 2027 journeys

At sea, the Four Seasons I yacht adds Egypt and Costa Rica to its 2027 Mediterranean and Caribbean cruises, and some sailings will welcome the group’s Michelin-starred chefs. In the air, the Four Seasons Private Jet offers four round-the-world trips of 21 to 24 days.
