An exceptional hotel with a Spa and an incredible pool just a stone’s throw from Paris:

Inaugurated in June 2024, we were lucky enough to be invited to test the “Dolce by Wyndham Versailles” hotel, which is located in the historic Domaine du Montcel in Jouy-en-Josas (78). This hotel offers a lush 14-hectare setting open to city dwellers in search of tranquillity. The estate, once owned by Christophe-Philippe Oberkampf · the inventor of the famous Toiles de Jouy · houses a listed park, an English-style garden with a bicentennial cedar tree, and monumental contemporary artworks, a legacy from the Fondation Cartier and other periods.

The pros:
Spacious rooms: the generous room size, comfortable bedding (king/queen size), elegant decor inspired by Toile de Jouy, with a balcony or terrace for certain rooms.
The pool and Le Spa du Montcel Sothys are highly appreciated: hammam, sauna, sensory shower, ice fountain, indoor and outdoor pool, massages, soothing atmosphere, everything is there for you to recharge.
Natural and peaceful setting on a large estate
Varied and high-quality dining, notably the breakfast
Professional and attentive service
The cons:
Spa access is restricted to 1.5 to 2 hours per session, slightly too short to fully enjoy all the facilities (sauna, hammam, pool, ice fountain...). We would like to be able to enjoy it for at least 3 hours.
