For Christmas 2026, the Adlon Kempinski hotel in Berlin has a gospel choir singing in its lobby and from its balcony, above Pariser Platz, the square in front of the Brandenburg Gate. Festive menus run from €85 to 585 per person, from the goose menu to dinner at the Michelin-starred restaurant. All these offers, set out in the hotel’s press release of 26 October, can be booked with or without an overnight stay.

A gospel choir on the Adlon’s balcony
The gospel choir performs on three Saturdays, 5, 12 and 19 December, from 2pm to 4pm, at the Lobby Lounge & Bar, during afternoon tea. It also sings from the balcony above the main entrance, facing Pariser Platz.
Near the entrance, the terrace serves champagne and fresh oysters when the weather allows, along with the hotel’s own Stollen, the German Christmas cake, and mulled wine in Adlon mugs to keep as a souvenir.
Sleighs, a Christmas bear and a tree in your room
From late November, the hotel sets up reindeer sleighs and a life-size Christmas bear, along with photo spots. Guests can also book a decorated tree for their room.
The Adlon Flower Atelier & Boutique sells handmade Advent wreaths, festive arrangements, a plush elephant in a bellboy’s cap, gift cards and the 250 g Adlon Stollen at €16, in a wooden box. An Advent wreath workshop, led by an expert, takes place on 28 November.

Advent tea: caviar and lobster at the Bel Etage
The Bel Etage, above the elephant fountain, serves its Advent tea to live piano music. Allow €85 with a non-alcoholic cocktail for winter teas, canapés, caviar, lobster bisque with cognac, scones, a miniature version of the Adlon cake and a winter apple dessert with speculoos crumble. Book 48 hours ahead for a 90-minute table; a vegan version is available on request.
The same venue prepares a Christmas buffet at €220 on 24 December, with live cooking stations, guitar and saxophone, after a welcome in the winter garden from 6pm. Champagne, wine, beer and soft drinks are included. The next day, the brunch lines up oysters opened to order, seafood cocktails, carved goose and duck, caramelised chestnuts and halibut in champagne sauce, with vegan and vegetarian options.
Goose and champagne by the Brandenburg Gate
Brasserie Quarré, with its view of the Brandenburg Gate, serves a goose menu at €85 from 11 November: goose consommé, roast breast and leg, winter crème brûlée.
On four consecutive Sundays, the Advent brunch brings together roast goose and duck, grilled Label Rouge salmon, truffle gnocchi, warm stuffed apples and a chocolate and gingerbread fountain, all to music. The four-course Christmas menu takes over on 24 and 25 December: scallops, pink Miéral duck breast, then a White Christmas dessert of white chocolate and Baumkuchen, the German cake baked on a spit.
One Michelin star: six courses at €585
Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer, holder of one Michelin star, offers a six-course festive menu by chef Jonas Zörner from 25 December. On the programme: Brittany sole, carabinero rosso (a large red prawn) with imperial caviar, duck from the Polting estate, saddle of roe deer, then a dessert of blood orange, cardamom and caramel.
