Luxury Yacht Hotels: The New Ships Expected in 2026 and 2027

In brief
The yacht hotel, a floating luxury hotel, is experiencing an unprecedented wave of launches: Orient Express, Aman, Regent, Four Seasons and Ritz-Carlton are launching new ships in 2026 and 2027.
Leading the way is the Orient Express Corinthian, presented as the largest sailing ship in the world, and the Amangati, Aman group’s first floating hotel, expected in 2027.
From all-suite liners to catamarans for ten guests, the segment now covers all formats of ultimate luxury at sea.

What if the next palace to stay in was afloat? The yacht hotel, a hybrid of a five-star hotel and a private yacht, is experiencing an unprecedented wave of launches. The biggest luxury brands are setting sail, from hospitality to the legendary train. Here’s an overview of the ships making waves in 2026 and 2027.

Luxury Yacht Hotels: The New Ships of 2026 and 2027

Orient Express Corinthian, the world’s largest sailing hotel

This is the standout event in the segment. For its first foray at sea, Orient Express (Accor group) launched the Corinthian in 2026, presented as the largest sailing ship in the world: 220 metres, three masts, 4,500 m² of Solid Sail technology, 54 suites for only 110 passengers, and a Guerlain spa. Christened in Saint-Nazaire in the spring, the sailing ship cruises the Mediterranean in the summer and heads to the Caribbean in the winter. A sister ship, the Olympian, is expected in 2027.

Aman at Sea · Amangati, the most intimate floating hotel

The ultra-luxury hotel group Aman is also setting sail. Expected in spring 2027, the Amangati will host only 94 guests in 47 suites, all with private terraces. On board, an Aman Spa spread over two floors, announced as the most extensive in luxury yachting, a 16-metre swimming pool, and a 354 m² signature suite. With such a space-to-guest ratio, the Amangati aims for the absolute pinnacle of the market.

Regent Seven Seas Prestige, the largest suite ever built at sea

On the all-suite liner front, Regent Seven Seas is making a bold move. The Seven Seas Prestige, whose inaugural voyage is scheduled for December 13, 2026, will house the largest all-inclusive suite ever built for cruising: the Skyview Regent, over 740 m², with a private elevator, costing around $27,000 per night. The ship will feature 411 suites, all with balconies, for only 850 passengers.

And also: Explora III, Four Seasons II, Crystal Grace…

The wave doesn’t stop there. Explora III, the first liquefied natural gas-powered ship from MSC’s luxury division, is expected in summer 2026 with its 461 ocean-view suites. Four Seasons II (2028) will extend the residential concept of Four Seasons Yachts with its two- to four-bedroom suites and private pools. Crystal Grace (2028) will mark Crystal’s first new ship in twenty-five years. At the other end of the spectrum, the Spirit of Ponant II, a catamaran for ten guests, will exemplify the most intimate version of the yacht hotel in late 2026.

Yacht Hotels Already Docked

Two ships have already paved the way. The Luminara, the third yacht in the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, has been sailing since summer 2025 (242 metres, 226 suites with terraces, Ritz-Carlton spa). And the Four Seasons I, the hotel brand’s first ship, set sail in March 2026 with its 95 residential suites and a crew-to-guest ratio of one-to-one. This proves that the yacht hotel is no longer a promise, but a category in its own right.

Luxury has never taken to the seas quite like this. Between giant sailing ships, all-suite liners, and exclusive catamarans, the yacht hotel is establishing itself as the new frontier of exceptional hospitality. All that remains is to choose your deck.
