Christmas Eve dinner takes place at Benjamin, the resort’s French fine-dining restaurant. Chef Armando Acquaviva serves a €480 per person menu there, with scallops and oscietra caviar, foie gras and truffled Bresse poultry. The wines are chosen by head sommelier Samy Sbiti and the desserts come from Jonathan Chapuy, the pastry chef.

New Year’s Eve: two restaurants, one price

To see in 2027, the resort offers two menus at the same price of €780 per person. At Benjamin, the meal brings together a risotto with Alba white truffle, roast blue lobster and a fillet of beef with black truffle.

Kaito plays a different card, that of Nikkei cuisine, born of the meeting between Japan and South America. The menu moves from bluefin tuna tartare with caviar to omakase sushi, meaning the chef’s choice, and a crying tiger-style wagyu beef fillet. It ends with a Kagami Mochi, the Japanese New Year rice cake, reworked with mandarin and Madagascan vanilla.

La Télécabine, a Yule log at €149

Already featured in our article on the resort’s reopening, Jonathan Chapuy’s Yule log is now in its third edition. It pays tribute to the red cabin of the Rochebrune cable car and borrows from the world of Kaito with jasmine and sesame, paired with vanillas from Madagascar and Tahiti. Gluten-free, it is available to order from 20 to 31 December, at €149 for 8 to 10 people.

Two galettes and a charm shaped like Mont Blanc

After the festive dinners, head baker Hugo Cuinet takes over with two galettes des rois: an almond frangipane and a creation with Maison Pralus pink praline and blackcurrant. Each hides an exclusive charm depicting Mont Blanc. They are available from 4 to 10 January 2027, at €59 for 6 to 8 people, to take away or at teatime in the Glass Bar with a hot chocolate.

The rest of the season plays out across several addresses. Behind a door kept secret, La Cave à Vin holds more than 17,000 bottles and hosts private tastings, lunches and bespoke dinners, in keeping with the history of the Edmond de Rothschild family in Megève. Kaito, for its part, offers tasting menus and an omakase experience, with pairings that mix Japanese references and grands crus.

At Edmond’s, lunch is on the terrace and the evening belongs to the grill and fine cuts of meat. The Glass Bar serves signature cocktails, alcohol-free creations and Jonathan Chapuy’s sweet treats, with evenings of live piano and singing. In the gardens, a geodesic dome hosts Armando Acquaviva’s signature fondue, made with Comté, Beaufort, Reblochon and Parmesan. Higher up, L’Idéal 1850 faces Mont Blanc, at an altitude of 1,850 metres.

The resort reopens on 16 December 2026 for its first winter season with the Palace distinction. A pop-up venue will join its restaurants this winter: the press release speaks of “a concept unique to Megève, still kept secret”, with no name or date.

For the room, our comparison of 8 luxury hotels in Megève offers a benchmark: €3,150 for two adults in a Deluxe Room, night of 17 to 18 January 2027, checked on 30 October, excluding taxes and fees.
