The Mindaro Campus brings together five venues at the same address: The Mindaro hotel, Hyatt House Portland Airport, The Hollow Café + Bar, the Jawfish restaurant and The Mindaro Event Center. Hyatt House adds 112 rooms, 73 of them with a fully equipped kitchen, to The Mindaro’s 90, making 202 rooms between the two. Rick Takach, chairman and chief executive of Vesta Hospitality, describes the site as a campus combining accommodation, dining and events.

Vesta Hospitality, a hotel development and management company based in Vancouver, Washington, has added The Mindaro to its portfolio. Phillip Wilson is the hotel’s general manager. The property joins JdV by Hyatt, one of the 36 brands in the Hyatt group, which is also set to arrive in the United Kingdom with the Oxford Witney Hotel. Further north on the same coast, Hyatt is preparing a Park Hyatt in Vancouver, Canada.

Le Petit Chef is an animated 3D dinner show, served with a set menu, which Hyatt’s press release presents as a first for Oregon. It takes place at Jawfish, the campus restaurant, from Thursday to Sunday by reservation.

According to Jawfish’s official website, shows take place at 7 pm on Thursdays and Fridays, then at 5.30 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Jawfish stands on the campus, at the same address as the two hotels.

Jawfish, open every day from 11 am to 11 pm, blends inventive cooking with reworked comfort classics, all with a Pacific Northwest energy. The restaurant also handles the catering for events held on the campus.

Around 46 m² in each of the 90 rooms

Every room measures around 46 m², or 500 square feet. The hotel draws on the forests and landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, with expressive design and natural materials.

In the rooms you will find quality linen, bathrobes, Caravan Coffee in single-serve pods, Smith Teamaker teas and free Wi-Fi.

More than 740 m² for events

The Mindaro Event Center extends over more than 740 m², or over 8,000 square feet. It includes a ballroom of about 490 m², the divisible Willamette Room of more than 185 m², and two boardrooms. On a single site, organisers can thus accommodate their guests, bring them together and give them dinner.

A free airport shuttle, 24 hours a day

For flights, a free shuttle runs 24 hours a day to and from Portland airport, and free rides are offered on request. Guests arriving by electric car have charging points at their disposal.
