The 33 Palace Hotels of Paris and France in 2026: Prices and Reviews

There are 33 palace hotels in France in 2026, 13 of them in Paris. On 2 June, Atout France unveiled the new collection: 27 distinctions renewed, six new houses. On each one’s official site we recorded the price of a night, along with its tea time, starred restaurants, spa and our rating where we have stayed.

All 33 palaces at a glance

The table brings together the 33 palaces of the 2026 collection. The price is for the cheapest room for two adults, recorded on each hotel’s official site for a specific night: mid-November for the year-round houses, January for the mountains, May for the seasonal houses of the Riviera and Provence.

The map of France’s palace hotels

Three areas concentrate most of the addresses: Paris, Courchevel and the Côte d’Azur account for 25 of the 33. The others are standalone houses, from the Luberon to the Landes, from the Bordeaux vineyards to Champagne, as far as Saint-Barthélemy, the only overseas palace hotel.

Paris has 13 palaces in 2026

Paris concentrates 13 of the 33 palaces, including three new ones in 2026: the Bvlgari Hotel Paris, Cheval Blanc Paris and Fouquet’s Paris. Two Paris addresses are no longer on the list, the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme and the Mandarin Oriental, Paris. The Ritz Paris, often cited among them, is not one of them.

Seven palaces in the Alps, five in Courchevel

Courchevel alone has five palace hotels, a record for France outside Paris. Megève joins the circle in 2026 with the Four Seasons Resort, and the Hôtel Royal d’Évian remains the only lakeside palace hotel. The resort houses open only in winter: their prices are for a night in January 2027.

Nine palaces between the Riviera and Provence

The Saint-Tropez peninsula has three, the capes of Antibes and Ferrat one each, and so do Vence and Cannes. In Provence, Gordes and Villa La Coste complete the list. Most close in winter: the price then refers to the first bookable night, and the page gives the season.

Which is the cheapest palace hotel?

In the survey of 13 October 2026, the cheapest palace hotel in France is Les Prés d’Eugénie, in Eugénie-les-Bains: €295 for the night of 17 November 2026 (non-refundable rate (€327 flexible rate)), two adults. In Paris, the most affordable is Fouquet’s Paris, at €1,200, while Le Bristol asks €2,338. At the top, Fouquet’s Courchevel lists €3,400 for its entry-level room.

These prices move every day with demand, trade fairs and holidays: they give an order of magnitude, not a guaranteed rate. For suites and seasonal differences in Paris, read how much a night in a Paris palace hotel costs.

The newest palace hotel

The newest of the palace hotels is the Bvlgari Hotel Paris, opened in December 2021 at 30 Avenue George-V and awarded the distinction on 2 June 2026, like Cheval Blanc Paris, opened the same year in La Samaritaine. The latest to change its name is Fouquet’s Courchevel: the former Hôtel Barrière Les Neiges has carried that name since winter 2025-2026.

At the other end of the list, Le Meurice has been welcoming guests since 1835 facing the Tuileries, the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc was born in 1870 as the Grand Hôtel du Cap, and the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat opened in 1908. The six new palace hotels of 2026 carry a badge in the table and on their pages.

Where is the largest palace spa?

Among the surface areas published by the hotels, the largest palace spa is the evian SPA at the Hôtel Royal, at 1,700 m² with two heated pools. Next come Royal Champagne (1,500 m², two pools, nine treatment rooms) and Le Royal Monceau (1,500 m², 23-metre pool), the Bvlgari Hotel Paris (1,300 m² around a 25-metre pool), then three 1,000 m² spas at Fouquet’s Courchevel, Château de la Messardière and La Réserve Ramatuelle. In Paris, the longest pool is at Cheval Blanc, 30 metres.

How a hotel becomes a Palace

Created in 2010, the Palace distinction singles out, among five-star hotels, those that their exceptional location, their historic, aesthetic or heritage interest and their service place at the top of French hospitality. Atout France processes the application, a commission of figures from hospitality and luxury visits and interviews the hotel, then the minister in charge of Tourism awards the distinction for three years.

• 4 addresses missing from the 2026 list: Byblos (Saint-Tropez), Hôtel du Palais (Biarritz), Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme and the Mandarin Oriental, Paris.

How we recorded the prices

Each price was recorded on 13 October 2026 on the hotel’s official booking engine, with no customer account and no promo code, for two adults and one night, in the cheapest room category displayed that day. We use no online travel agency prices. When a hotel displays no price for the target night, we say so rather than estimate.
