On 9 October 2026, the Rixos Murjana unveiled its Overwater Villas, five villas set on the lagoon and closed to children. According to Rixos, they are the first adults-only overwater villas in Saudi Arabia. First mentioned during the resort’s pre-opening in November 2025, they are now welcoming their first guests.

The model is openly the Maldives, where the format has become the norm, as with the 57 Water Villas at Constance Halaveli. Here you will find bright interiors in coastal tones and materials, floor-to-ceiling windows and a private terrace over the water, with direct access to the sea.
