A fishing village reimagined across 65 hectares
The resort occupies the south-western tip of Phu Quoc island, near An Thoi, between the sea, lotus lakes, rice paddies and hills. Hyatt describes it as a contemporary Vietnamese village by the sea: courtyards, shaded paths and gardens stepping down to the beach, modelled on the fishing villages of the southern coast. The international airport, around 25 minutes away, has direct links to Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, South Korea, China and India.
The project is being developed with Vietnamese developer BIM Group, which this autumn also launched a 100-villa resort in Vinh Hy Bay. Hyatt first announced it in March 2019, with an opening then targeted for 2022. As recently as August, bookings only opened from 1 March 2027: the opening has moved forward by almost three months.
80 m² minimum, even for the entry-level room

The resort has 168 keys in total. The 114 rooms and suites start at 80 m², the size of a large apartment, and the entry-level room has a king bed. Room photos already released by the hotel show wooden headboards, framed drawings and Vietnamese textiles.
54 villas, each with a pool of its own
Each of the 54 villas has its own pool. They sit on the seafront, by the lake or on the hillside, ranging from the one-bedroom Deluxe villa to the three-bedroom villa on the beach. Set apart, The Manor is a private eight-bedroom residence across 16,000 m², with its own pools, a cinema, a spa and fitness area, and dedicated service.
Eight venues, from stilts to wood fire

The official website lists eight places to eat and drink, overseen by executive chef Sheldon Fonseca. Fisherman’s, on stilts above the sea, serves fish and seafood picked from the tank; Herbs & Spice revives Vietnamese family recipes handed down over three generations; Pepper Grill cooks over a wood fire with Phu Quoc peppers. La Maisonette takes its cue from the French Riviera, the Pool House & Bar serves sourdough pizzas, and the Living Room offers Vietnamese coffee and cacao with pastries. The Courtyard, the village square, brings together two infinity pools and a bar facing the sunset; the villas have 24-hour in-villa dining.
SOMA, a spa tuned to the body clock
The SOMA Wellbeing spa sits beside a lotus lake. Hyatt presents it as the first Park Hyatt spa built around circadian rhythms, the body’s internal 24-hour clock: treatments are designed according to the time of day. The menu combines traditional Vietnamese treatments, infrared light masks and pressotherapy (compression massage), alongside a sauna and a Technogym gym with a studio and a lap lane.
Rice paddies, fishing and the Whale Temple
For children, the Kids’ Village, the Camp Hyatt kids’ club, runs cooking, dance and craft workshops. The resort also organises outings to the rice paddies, an introduction to cast-net fishing (a round net thrown by hand), a lotus blessing at sunrise, and visits to the Whale Temple, the pepper farms, the houses making nuoc mam, the island’s fish sauce, and the national park trails.
What does a night at Park Hyatt Phu Quoc cost?
On the official website, nights start at €1,094 excluding taxes and fees for an 80 m² garden-view King room on a prepaid rate, checked on 22 October 2026 for the night of 10 January 2027. The opening offer includes breakfast and an experience for two per room: cast-net fishing with an island fisherman, or rice planting and harvesting depending on the season. A word of warning for New Year’s Eve: the gala dinner on 31 December is compulsory for all guests staying that night, included in the rate for adults and charged separately for children.
