Along the banks of the Ljubljanica, the river that runs through the Slovenian capital, flats rented out on Airbnb look onto the castle or the Triple Bridge. On 25 October 2026 we checked the prices of eight high-end addresses: from €231.50 to €785.50 a night for two, fees included. Two hotels serve as a benchmark.

Prices read on 25 October 2026 from the public Airbnb listings, for two adults, from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 November 2026: the total including taxes and fees, divided by two nights, the minimum stay.

A hot tub on the 20th floor of the Situla tower

Outside the old town, near the main railway station, the Situla Sky Penthouse takes up the 20th floor of the Situla tower. Its private outdoor hot tub runs all year round, on one of its two terraces; according to the listing, the view stretches over the city to the Alps. The priciest of the eight works out, for six, at around €131 per person per night.

A palace on the Triple Bridge, an artists’ floor

At Filip’s Palace, right in the pedestrianised centre, the living room and loggia look onto the Triple Bridge and the Franciscan Church. Chandeliers, parquet floors, antique furniture: for eight, a stay works out at around €51 per person per night.

Close to the river and the market, Mondo Diverso fills an entire floor of an old building. Its walls were hand-painted by a family of artists, the one behind the KOT SEN creative studio. Luggage is brought to the door by electric vehicle; second floor, no lift.

On the Breg embankment, five minutes from Prešeren Square, the main square, the Penthouse Breg sits beneath exposed roof beams and looks out over the river and the castle. Its bathroom has a corner whirlpool bath. Pets welcome.

In a 400-year-old building, the Swanky Residence combines high ceilings, herringbone parquet and works by Slovenian artists. Its balcony looks out at the castle and, with the tourist tax included, it is the cheapest of the eight.

Airbnb or hotel? €291 at the InterContinental

On the same dates, the InterContinental Ljubljana, a five-star hotel opened in 2017, was asking €582 for two nights in a King Premium room with Club lounge access, breakfast extra. That is €291 a night, more than the Swanky Residence for four. The Vander Urbani Resort, a design hotel in the old town, was charging €143.50 a night for an 18 m² room.
