When do Gstaad’s slopes open this winter?

First to open is Glacier 3000, from 7 November 2026 to 30 April 2027, at the Col du Pillon, with its Peak Walk suspension bridge strung between two summits. According to the Bergbahnen Gstaad calendar, Saanerslochgrat and Hornberg follow from 20 November, snow permitting, then Horneggli and Wasserngrat on 18 December, and Eggli and La Videmanette, in Rougemont, from 19 December to 14 March 2027.

On the events calendar, the Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad celebrate their 27th edition from 29 January to 6 February 2027. The palace hotels open later than the slopes: aim for mid-December to find the whole village in full swing. To compare with other resorts, see the new luxury ski hotels for winter 2026-2027.
