Renowned chef Christian Jürgens, who was originally set to oversee the entire gastronomic offering, is leaving the project by mutual agreement with management. This departure does not affect the overall opening schedule of the Zurich boutique hotel. Both parties commended their preparatory collaboration while choosing to take different directions for the future.

Lalique Group strengthens its footprint in Swiss hospitality
Owned by Silvio Denz and Peter Spuhler, this historic residence comes under the operational management of Lalique Group. The Swiss entity is thus continuing to expand its high-end hospitality division, already highlighted by Villa René Lalique and Château Hochberg. The opening of Villa Florhof marks the group’s strategic establishment in the heart of Zurich. The property aims to combine the artisanal craftsmanship of Lalique with exceptional, personalised hospitality.
Reinforced leadership and a redesigned dining concept
To lead the property, the group relies on Tanja Wegmann as general manager, supported by Kilian Rainalter. In the kitchens, the Brasserie has been entrusted to the duo of John Schiffmann and Christian Hoffmann. The former notably distinguished himself at Dolder Grand and Restaurant Buech, while the latter worked at Palais Coburg and several renowned Berlin restaurants. The second fine-dining venue will open its doors in late autumn 2026 with a redesigned concept.
