A contemporary metamorphosis for an 18th-century palazzo

Built in the 18th century for Marquis Giovanni Maria Baldinucci, the former Palazzo Jacometti Ciofi enters a new era under the name Palazzo Firenze. Architecture firm Studio Marco Piva orchestrated the complete redesign of this Baglioni Hotels & Resorts property. The combined efforts of local artisans and the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage have magnified the historical architecture while instilling a refined contemporary design.

A design philosophy focused on the memory of the place

Studio Marco Piva’s approach centres on a harmonious dialogue between preserving architectural memory and functional transformation. The communal lounges and reception areas now combine clean-lined furniture with restored original frescoes. The interior design transforms each space into an immersive sensory experience for international guests. Lighting and a rigorous selection of noble materials enhance the residence’s intimate atmosphere.

Thematic suites inspired by Florentine history

The palazzo’s 24 keys offer a bespoke interpretation of the Italian art of living, showcased in particular by two signature suites. The De Pepi Suite celebrates the spice trade tradition through warm tones and materials reminiscent of antique mortars. Meanwhile, the Da Verrazzano Suite pays tribute to the famous explorer with a colour palette dominated by blue and ochre. These private sanctuaries offer deep immersion into the major cultural and maritime sagas of the Tuscan city.

Baglioni art de vivre in the heart of the Santa Croce district

Located just steps from the famous Basilica of Santa Croce, Palazzo Firenze reinforces Baglioni Hotels & Resorts’ positioning in the European luxury sector. This restored address invites guests to experience the city at the pace of local artisans and surrounding artistic treasures. This exemplary modernisation stands as a benchmark for hotel rehabilitation within Italy’s historical heritage.
