Midtown, close to Music Row and Vanderbilt
The capital of Tennessee, Nashville goes by the nickname Music City: it is the home of country music, of its concert halls, its studios and its record labels. The Loews stands at 2100 West End Avenue, in the Midtown district, a few minutes from the music venues, from Music Row, the historic street of studios and labels, and from the Vanderbilt University campus.
This is no new address: the hotel has been welcoming travellers for more than forty years. For Hugh Anderson, its general manager, it has been part of Music City hospitality for four decades, and this transformation carries that legacy forward with more refined rooms and new places to dine and gather. Loews Hotels & Co gives no precise figure, speaking only of several million dollars.
A 16-metre chandelier in the lobby
In the lobby, a 53-foot sculptural chandelier, around 16 metres, fills the full height of the space. Behind the reception desk, a bespoke glass installation traces the outlines of brass instruments, a nod to the city’s music. A grand new staircase now links the lobby to the mezzanine.
A patisserie café open from 6am

In the same lobby, Maisonette Patisserie & Coffee serves as both café and delicatessen, from 6am to 6pm. Expect house-made pastries from the hotel’s pastry chef, coffee roasted in Nashville by Frothy Monkey, savoury dishes and food to take away.
341 rooms designed by Studio DADO
The interiors are the work of Studio DADO, a South Florida practice that drew on Music City’s artistic and cultural identity. The hotel has 341 rooms, including 28 suites. The renovated rooms adopt a soft, neutral palette, subtle musical references and new furniture; basins and showers have been redone.
As for the suites, the booking site lists names that play on music, Creator, Belle and Baritone, as well as a Vanderbilt Suite. Elsewhere in the United States, another address has also bet on renovation this year: The Mercer in New York.
Masons at West End, dinner with live music

The hotel’s former restaurant, Mason’s and its Mason Bar, has been reinvented as Masons at West End: a restaurant, bar and music stage in the spirit of a modern supper club, those American-style venues where dinner comes with a live show. This time the interiors are by New York studio Parts and Labor Design, arranged around a circular central bar.
In the kitchen, executive chef Sean Strolle serves contemporary American cuisine: salt cod fritters with caviar, lobster thermidor, beef Wellington carved tableside. The cocktails are the work of a mixologist and Nashville artists take to the stage. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the bar is open from 2pm to midnight.
What is still to come in January 2027?

The renovation is not over. The final phase is due in January 2027: the Symphony Ballroom, an 8,500-square-foot ballroom (around 790 m²), and its foyer will be refurbished. A new lawn will become the hotel’s largest outdoor space, for weddings, events and a seasonal programme. The rooms, meanwhile, can already be booked.
Westin, Pendry, EDITION: Nashville gears up
The Loews is not alone in its transformation. The Westin Nashville has completed a 13.5 million dollar renovation, announced at the end of April 2026. According to their groups, a 180-room Pendry should open in 2027 and The Nashville EDITION around 2028. Among the newcomers already open, the SongTeller hotel, Dolly Parton’s hotel-museum, welcomed its first guests in summer 2026 with 245 rooms. For another musical evening, the Conrad Nashville offers a visit to the Woolworth Theatre as part of the Conrad hotels’ 1/3/5 programme.
