The Mile High Cocktail Club reopens every autumn with a guest bar. Sip & Guzzle takes over from Handshake Speakeasy, the Mexico City bar hosted from 14 November 2024 to 1 March 2025, then from 2 October to 31 December 2025. This time the residency spans the whole winter, until 14 March 2027, four nights a week.

Sip & Guzzle opened in 2024 at 29 Cornelia Street, in the West Village. It is the work of two bartenders, Steve Schneider and Shingo Gokan, with operating partner Justin Weitz, and blends Tokyo izakaya culture with New York hospitality. Downstairs, Sip serves technical, precise cocktails; upstairs, Guzzle reworks familiar flavours into more straightforward drinks. The bar was ranked first on the North America’s 50 Best Bars 2026 list, unveiled in Vancouver on 22 April.

Both sides of the bar make the trip: the menu brings together three “Sips”, the Drunk Grandma’s Apple Pie, the Dirty Mango and the Tomato Tree, and three “Guzzles”, the Mint 75, a Rum & Cola and a Miami Vice Negroni. The 85-dollar package per person includes two drinks. To go with them, executive chef Isaac Leidenfrost has created a bar menu of small Japanese-inspired bites, according to the hotel.

The Mile High Cocktail Club occupies one of the hotel’s suites converted into a lounge, which the Four Seasons bills as the highest speakeasy in Chicago. The evening begins at the Adorn bar on the 7th floor, from where guests are escorted up to the 46th, facing the Magnificent Mile and the skyline. The room had 40 seats in 2024 and 30 in 2025; the hotel has not yet detailed this season’s set-up.

The same announcement brings a new menu at Adorn, the hotel’s restaurant: a raw bar, prime cuts, Dover sole with lemon butter, almond-crusted sea bass, lobster Thermidor en croûte and a Winterfrost wagyu burger. Its new cocktails take their names from Chicago architecture, from the Hancock to Cloud Gate, and a trolley serves Old Fashioneds and Martinis tableside. On the 7th floor, Tasse opens in the mornings under executive pastry chef Yudith Bustos Taleno, with a maple and smoked salt Chicago Latte, Valrhona hot chocolate and a breakfast deep-dish at weekends.
