The architecture draws on Art Nouveau and on the Shanghai buildings of the early 20th century. Disney sums up the approach with its own motto, “Authentically Disney, Distinctly Chinese”. In the official images, the rotunda lobby lines up its columns beneath a star-shaped chandelier.

The nine floors overlook Wishing Star Lake, with views of Wishing Star Park and Shanghai Disneyland, the resort’s theme park. Near the hotel, three sculptures of cranes, those tall wading birds, have just been unveiled: they tell the story of the resort’s work to protect nature.

In the images released, a Deluxe room features two large beds beneath wall murals, while a bathroom sets a freestanding bathtub against a star-studded wall. Room sizes and prices for each category have not been disclosed.

The resort’s first outdoor pool

It is a first for the resort’s hotels: the Enchanted Star will have an outdoor pool, open seasonally depending on the weather and operating conditions. Indoor pools, including one under a glass roof, round out the offer, and several themed play areas await children. No spa has been announced.

Enchanted Seasons, dining with the seasons

The hotel will have several restaurants. The only one named so far, Enchanted Seasons, takes its cue from the changing seasons and blends Chinese and international cuisine. The other restaurants have yet to be unveiled.

Linked to the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel next door

A dedicated link will connect the Enchanted Star to the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel. Guests at both hotels will share their facilities: gyms, pools, indoor and outdoor play areas, shops and restaurants. Staying at one will therefore give access to the other’s amenities.

In Shanghai, another theme park is also betting on hotels: the Peppa Pig park will open in 2027 with a themed hotel. Disney hotel fans should also read the story of the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel, in Florida, and our ranking of the best Disneyland Paris hotels.
