In its announcement of 26 October 2026, Pendry Hotels & Resorts presents the Pendry Yacht Club as the first yacht club in its history. It is set at Pendry Barbados, which will be the brand’s first property outside the United States and its first resort in the Caribbean. The estate covers 1.8 hectares between beach and marina on the Platinum Coast, as the island’s west coast is known, less than an hour from Grantley Adams airport.

The marina is a sheltered basin in Six Men’s Bay, in the parish of St. Peter, near Speightstown on the west coast. It has 110 berths and can take boats up to 80 feet, or around 24 metres. Members secure access to a berth on a five-year lease, and Pendry handles the full management of the dock and its staff.

What does club membership include?

Ashore, members have a private clubhouse furnished by RH, the furniture brand that also designed the residences, with showers and changing rooms. They can also use the marina pool, its sun deck and the Marina Pool Bar.

On the service side, Pendry promises concierge, provisioning and private dining: the club will stock the boats and arrange excursions and tailor-made meals. A members-only programme will celebrate nautical traditions and ceremonies. The membership fee has not been disclosed.

The hotel will have 80 seafront rooms, several places to eat and drink (a signature restaurant, a hidden speakeasy-style bar, the Marina Restaurant and beach bars), Spa Pendry, the Paintbox Children’s Club for younger guests and Compass Sports for activities. Room rates have not yet been published.

Pendry Barbados reinvents the former Port Ferdinand estate, a residential marina on the west coast, in a project announced in April 2023 and designed by architect Robert Glazier. The residences are neither owned nor developed by Pendry: they are marketed under licence by the Barbadian companies Port Ferdinand SRL, Corsair Cove SRL and Tropops SRL.

Founded in 2014, Pendry belongs to Montage International, Alan J. Fuerstman’s family-owned group, and is also preparing, in Florida, the Pendry Tampa hotel, due in 2027.
