The old library beneath the Scottish flag
The Tower Suite occupies the hotel’s original tower, just above the main entrance, beneath the Saltire, the white cross on a blue field of the Scottish flag. It is not a new build: the suite has existed for decades in the guests’ former library, and its visitors’ book still holds the notes regulars left there from one stay to the next. Gleneagles announced its complete transformation on 2 September 2026 and has reopened it for bookings since 28 September.
£7,750 a night, ten times the price of a room

On the hotel’s official booking engine, the night of 24 to 25 November 2026 costs 7,750 pounds, taxes included, for two adults, or about 9,246 euros at the European Central Bank reference rate of 26 October 2026. The rate includes a full Scottish breakfast and access to the hotel’s leisure club, The Club.
The price barely changes across November and December nights: the official calendar runs from 7,525 pounds (17 and 30 November and 2 December) to 7,995 pounds (20 November), or roughly 8,980 to 9,540 euros. On the same evening of 24 November, the hotel’s cheapest room, the Country Double, starts at 750 pounds (about 895 euros): the suite costs more than ten times as much.
156 m² over two floors, plus the roof
The one-bedroom suite spreads over 156 m² across two floors. On the first level, a panelled dining room seats ten, with a pantry and a green marble bar blended into the woodwork; it can also double as a meeting room. A central staircase leads up to the drawing room and library, where a hidden bar is stocked by The American Bar, one of the hotel’s bars, with spirits and ready-mixed cocktails.
The bedroom is furnished with a bespoke king-size four-poster bed. The marble bathroom pairs an Arabescato marble arch with black Nero Marquina marble details and an Art Deco mosaic, alongside a separate WC and a dressing room. The Night Pantry, a late-night larder, serves as a made-to-measure minibar, with a fridge, freezer, coffee machine and snacks chosen to suit the guest’s tastes.
Gleneagles’ only private roof terrace

A concealed staircase and a secret door lead to the third level: the hotel’s only private roof terrace. From here the view takes in the Ochil Hills, the estate’s three golf courses and the gateway to the Highlands, the uplands of northern Scotland.
Who painted the bedroom murals?
Two murals hand-painted by the artist Nancy Daniell, one in the bedroom and the other in the drawing room, depict the Perthshire countryside. The Art Deco interiors are by AIME Studios, the design studio of Ennismore, the group that owns Gleneagles, which drew on the hotel’s railway origins: it was built by the Caledonian Railway company and opened in June 1924.
The panelling and marquetry combine walnut, mahogany and burr wood. The antique and vintage furniture comes from the Scottish Antique & Arts Centre and the platforms 1stDibs and Pamono, alongside bespoke pieces by Julian Brown Fine Furniture. Fabrics are by Pierre Frey, Dedar and Rose Uniacke, and the works by Scottish artists were brought together by the consultant Sigrid Kirk.
A dedicated host, on call day and night
The stay is arranged by a dedicated host, on call 24 hours a day, who books activities, from padel to salmon fishing, handles reservations and puts together meals from the menus of all the hotel’s restaurants.
An 850-acre estate in Perthshire

Beyond the suite, the hotel has 233 rooms including 28 suites on an 850-acre estate, around 344 hectares. Guests dine at Restaurant Andrew Fairlie, The Strathearn, The Birnam or The Dormy, have a drink at The American Bar or the Century Bar, and the spa comes with a swimming pool and a gym.
