From the Lutetia to the Ritz, a €21 gap

At the Lutetia’s Bar Joséphine, the entry-level glass is a cuvée made for the hotel, Taittinger Extra Brut “Cuvée Lutetia”, served at €27 for 15 cl. It is the lowest price in the survey, ahead of Le Bar Long at Le Royal Monceau, Raffles Paris (€29, Serveaux & Fils Carte d’Or) and Bar 8 at the Mandarin Oriental, Paris (€30, Louis Roederer Brut Premier Collection 246).

The rest of the ranking is tight: 8 bars out of 12 between €30 and 35. Three bars charge €32 (Le Meurice, Plaza Athénée, The Peninsula Paris), two €34 (Crillon, the Ritz’s Bar Vendôme), two €35 (George V, Le Bristol). The Ritz Bar starts at €38 with a Fleury Brut Nature.

Why Bar Hemingway starts at €48

Bar Hemingway’s entry price comes down to its list: no non-vintage champagne is served by the glass. The cheapest glass is a Louis Roederer Rosé Vintage, a vintage rosé, at €48 for 14 cl. Next come the Louis Roederer Blanc de Blancs Vintage at €50 and the Cristal at €98.

The Ritz Paris has three bars and three entry prices: €48 at Bar Hemingway, €38 at the Ritz Bar and €34 at Bar Vendôme, where Louis Roederer Brut Collection is poured in 14 cl glasses. The same Louis Roederer Rosé Vintage costs €48 there, as at Bar Hemingway. To discover the hotel beyond its bars, read our review of the Ritz Paris.

The table ranks the 12 bars by the price of their cheapest glass. The “per 10 cl” column brings every price to the same quantity, since glasses range from 12 to 15 cl.

Three grand hotels are missing from the table for lack of a glass on their online menu. At the Shangri-La Paris, the only published menu for Le Bar Botaniste lists just cocktails and mocktails. At Cheval Blanc Paris, the Tout-Paris bar offers only cocktails, and the wine list of the month has no champagne by the glass. For the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme, no official menu could be consulted online.

Same Moët, a €3 gap between two hotels

Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial is the entry-level glass at two bars: €35 at Le Bar du Bristol and €32 at the Plaza Athénée bar, where it is poured at 15 cl. Le Bristol’s menu does not state the size of the glass, which rules out a centilitre-by-centilitre comparison.

The gap also shows between two Dorchester Collection hotels: Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2016 costs €36 at Le Meurice’s Bar 228 and €44 at the Plaza Athénée bar. Billecart-Salmon’s rosé, meanwhile, is €32 at Bar Joséphine and €38 at Les Ambassadeurs.

Cristal at €98, Krug at €62: the top of the list

At the prestige end, a glass of Louis Roederer Cristal peaks at €98 at Bar Hemingway; at Les Ambassadeurs, Cristal 2016 is €95. Dom Pérignon 2017 is €80 at Le Bristol and €85 at the Plaza Athénée. Krug appears by the glass at Le Bar Kléber (173e Édition, €69) and Le Bar Long (Grande Cuvée 174e Édition, €62).

Other lists stay short: Bar 8 offers just two glasses, at €30 and 35, and the priciest at Bar 228, a Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé, goes no higher than €46.

How to pay a fair price for your glass

A few habits are enough to compare before you order, based on the menus surveyed.

  • Check the pour size. €35 for 12 cl at the George V works out at €29.17 per 10 cl; €32 for 15 cl at Le Meurice, at €21.33. If the menu does not say, as at Le Bristol, ask.
  • Start with the house cuvée. Taittinger’s “Cuvée Lutetia” (€27) and Serveaux & Fils Carte d’Or at Le Royal Monceau (€29) are the two cheapest glasses in the survey.
  • Pick your bar within the hotel. At the Ritz Paris, the first glass drops from €48 at Bar Hemingway to €34 at Bar Vendôme.
  • Check the date on the menu. Bar Joséphine’s dates from April 2026, the Plaza Athénée’s from 22 October 2026: only the menu presented at the bar is binding.

For a festive night, also compare the New Year’s Eve menus in the grand hotels of Paris: the gaps there are far wider, from €280 to 1,095.

Our method and sources

The survey covers 13 grand hotels in Paris and 15 bars. For each one, on 24 October 2026, La Revue des Hôtels read the menu published on the hotel’s official website or the PDF linked from it, then noted the cheapest glass of champagne, its cuvée, the size of the glass and the most expensive glass. Champagne cocktails are not counted.

The price per 10 cl is the listed price divided by the glass size, multiplied by 10. Prices are those on the menus and may change. We refer to grand hotels rather than palaces, as the official Palace distinction has not been checked for every address; it appears in our list of France’s palaces.
