Taking up his post on 19 January 2026, this seasoned professional brings with him nearly 35 years of experience in luxury hospitality, including a decade within the prestigious Fairmont family.

This strategic appointment, announced by Omar Acar, President and CEO of Raffles and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, marks a new chapter for this iconic establishment, renowned for its unique log cabin architecture and exceptional natural setting.

Before joining Fairmont, David Candillon led the prestigious Rosewood Jumby Bay in Antigua and Barbuda

David Candillon is no stranger to the Fairmont universe. For nearly 10 years, he has climbed the ranks with distinction, notably holding positions as General Manager of the Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth hotel in Montreal and Director of Operations at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess in Bermuda. His operational expertise and strategic vision have enabled him to bring significant improvements in food and beverage and room management.

Before joining Fairmont, David Candillon led the prestigious Rosewood Jumby Bay in Antigua and Barbuda, where he guided the establishment to excellence. Under his leadership, the resort achieved Forbes Five-Star distinction in 2015 and ranked among the top three of the 20 Rosewood properties for three consecutive years. The establishment also achieved the highest LQA score in the Mexico, Caribbean, and South America region, testifying to his unwavering commitment to operational excellence and employee engagement.
