Bourbon Hotel to Open in Courchevel 1850 with the Spirit of a London Club

  • The Bourbon Hotel, a new property from the Chapitre Six collection, will open in December 2026 in Courchevel 1850.
  • Taking over the former Hôtel des 3 Vallées in the heart of the resort, it will feature 31 rooms including 3 suites.
  • Decor designed by Studio Henry with art direction by Pierre Alexis Guinet: the spirit of a London club rather than an Alpine chalet.
  • An Italian restaurant, Simonetta, created by Michelin-starred chef Simone Zanoni, and a vinyl bar at the heart of the house.

Courchevel 1850 is preparing to welcome a hotel that turns its back on traditional resort codes. In December 2026, the Chapitre Six collection will open the Bourbon Hotel here: neither a reinterpreted chalet nor light wood and furs, but rather the muted atmosphere of a London private members’ club. An acclaimed Parisian signature taking to the mountains for the very first time.

Chapitre Six arrives in the heart of the resort

The collection is no stranger to French luxury hospitality. Chapitre Six, the brand behind Château Voltaire and Le Grand Mazarin in Paris, is creating its very first mountain destination here. The group is taking over the former Hôtel des 3 Vallées, a strategic position in the heart of Courchevel 1850, just a few steps from the resort’s liveliest restaurants and venues. The property will offer true ski-in, ski-out convenience, with direct access to the slopes.

A London club rather than an Alpine chalet

This is the project’s most striking statement. The design imagined by Studio Henry, under the art direction of Pierre Alexis Guinet, deliberately departs from traditional Alpine aesthetics. Dark woods, deep velvets, subdued lighting and fireplaces create the atmosphere of a British club, miles away from postcard chalets. At the centre of it all: a vinyl bar conceived as the beating heart of the house, where music serves as the common thread.

31 rooms and Simone Zanoni’s dining experience

The property will maintain an intimate scale. It will feature 31 rooms, including 3 suites, offering views over the village, the slopes or the peaks. On the dining side, Chapitre Six has entrusted its Italian restaurant, named Simonetta, to Michelin-starred chef Simone Zanoni, currently leading Le George at Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris. A spa dedicated to contrast therapy will complete the offering, following the recovery protocols now becoming essential across luxury hospitality.

Courchevel 1850 continues its evolution

This opening forms part of a broader movement. The Alps’ most prestigious resort is seeing a wave of projects that challenge its traditional codes, from new addresses to the repositioning of established houses. By importing the spirit of an urban club to an altitude of 1,850 metres, the Bourbon Hotel is betting on a clientele who certainly come for the mountains, but now expect an Alpine stay to feel less like a picture postcard and more like a sophisticated city experience.
