Celadon green, the group’s signature colour
The collection is dressed in Celadon Green, Mandarin Oriental’s house shade. The announcement traces it back to Song and Ming dynasty porcelain, a colour originally created to evoke jade, somewhere between blue and green. The shells carry Globe-Trotter’s corner guards and straps in ivory leather, with brass fittings. A black version with caramel leather completes the line-up.
Globe-Trotter, Churchill’s luggage since 1897

Founded in 1897, Globe-Trotter still makes its cases by hand in Hertfordshire, England, on Victorian-era machinery. Its vulcanised fibreboard has travelled with Winston Churchill and Queen Elizabeth II. The brand has a shop in London’s Burlington Arcade and two in Paris, on rue Boissy d’Anglas and rue Pierre Charron.
Inside each piece, Mandarin Oriental’s fan, an emblem every hotel in the group reinterprets with local artisans, becomes a radiating pattern on a cotton-blend lining. Fan-shaped charms in gold-stamped, vegetable-tanned leather hang from the handle.

The pieces build on Globe-Trotter’s Centenary line, which sells outside the collaboration for £1,195 as a London Square and £1,895 as a Carry-On. Stock is short: two celadon Bangkok edition Carry-Ons and one black London Square were still available when prices were checked. The Landmark shop offers collection at the hotel only; the Bangkok shop delivers within Thailand and handles international orders on request.
Bangkok at 150: the limited edition
The collaboration draws on the 150th anniversary of Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok, the group’s historic hotel on the Chao Phraya. Its limited edition adds natural leather that develops a patina over time, a phoenix-pattern lining, a symbol of renewal and longevity, and an anniversary crest. It comes in celadon with natural leather, or in black and caramel; the hotel’s shop has offered it online since July 2026.
Where to see it: London, Beijing, Hong Kong
Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, in London, showcases the collection in its lobby; the Qianmen in Beijing and The Landmark in Hong Kong also display it in their lobbies, where it is on sale. The Landmark has just been awarded two Michelin Keys following its renovation.
For Alex Schellenberger, the group’s brand and marketing director, “travel goes far beyond the destination”: it lies in the memories and discoveries made along the way. The collection extends the world of the fan, already at the heart of Mandarin Oriental’s Fan campaign, much as other houses team up with designers, as The Peninsula Paris has with Chaumet.
