Hotel Klosterbräu, Seefeld’s monastery rises again after the fire

Emperor Maximilian I founded this monastery in Seefeld in 1516, and the Seyrling family has run it since 1809. Now a five-star hotel with a spa, it was hit by a fire on 13 April 2026 while it was closed for works. It has announced its reopening on 1 December 2026 and is already taking bookings; its booking engine shows new ‘Nature’ rooms and suites.
Price checked on 30 October 2026 on the official booking engine, night of 19 to 20 January 2027 for two: €746 with breakfast in a LIFESTYLE Double Room Deluxe, or €768 with gourmet half board, free cancellation until 8 January.
THE GREEN, a swimming lake in the Zillertal

In Uderns, beside the 18-hole golf course, this new resort opens in December 2026 with 75 rooms, suites, Water Suites and lodges. It is built around THE GREEN Lagoon, a natural chlorine-free swimming lake, and 3,300 m² of indoor and outdoor wellness with pools, saunas and a rooftop garden. Children have their own club from the age of 1, and a free ski bus runs to the Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach ski area every half hour.
For the night of 19 to 20 January 2027, the official booking engine shows €368 for two on three-quarter board, in a 37 m² Doppelzimmer Classic, wellness included and free cancellation until 21 December. We had already picked it among the new luxury ski hotels for winter 2026-2027.

The von der Thannen family, who run the Trofana Royal, open a four-storey chalet in the centre of Ischgl in December 2026. In Pertisau, on the shores of the Achensee, the former Alpenhof, remodelled in 1929 by the Tyrolean architect Siegfried Mazagg, had been closed for some fifty years. It reopens in late 2026 as the Mazaggs, exact date still to be set, with Art Deco rooms and suites, ‘Pavillons’, the ALMA Spa and its indoor pool, the Siegfrieds restaurant and an art gallery with an artist in residence.
