Four years and €14m for a fifth star
The building went up in 1807 on rue de la Paix, between the Opéra Garnier and Place Vendôme. In October 2024, the Warwick group unveiled a first phase of renovation, covering the lobby, some of the rooms and a meeting room. On 15 October 2025, it announced the fifth star, crowning a four-year restoration project.
“This fifth star pays tribute to the excellence and passion of our teams, and to the vision of our group,” said Richard Chiu, president of Warwick, in the group’s press release at the time. The hotel belongs to the Warwick Hotels and Resorts collection, which also includes The Capital Hotel & Apartments in London.
Laurent Maugoust, mouldings and antique clocks

Designer Laurent Maugoust led the creative direction of the whole project. He restored the 19th-century mouldings, marble fireplaces and parquet floors, then paired them with soft tones, fine materials and bespoke pieces made by French craftspeople. In the rooms as in the lobby, antique clocks nod to the group’s sister property, The Capital, in London. On the street side, the façade keeps its green awnings and flower-filled balconies.
From the 22 m² Deluxe to the 20 suites
The hotel has 102 rooms, including 20 suites. The official booking engine ranks them from the Deluxe Room (22 m²) to the Executive Room (26 m²), then the suites: the Deluxe Belle-Époque Suite (40 m²), the Deluxe Parisian Suite, the Prestige Suite overlooking rue de la Paix and the Duke of Westminster Suite. The hotel also has function rooms.
The Duke’s Bar, an English club from the 1920s

An institution since the 1920s, the Duke’s Bar keeps the feel of an English club: wood panelling, British racing green walls and green leather armchairs. The hotel also serves a traditional English afternoon tea. What does Le Céladon, by Helen Stephens, serve?

Le Céladon restaurant was redesigned by British designer Helen Stephens. At lunchtime it serves French bistronomy, bistro cooking prepared with fine-dining care; in the evening, the menu turns gastronomic, in a more intimate setting.
Sauna and hammam beneath the Paris rooftops

The fitness and wellness area sits under the eaves, with views over the Paris rooftops. It brings together modern equipment, a sauna and a hammam; massages are available on request. Further down, a private garden fills the hotel’s inner courtyard.
