This will be the property’s second winter under the Aman name. The former Rosa Alpina, run by the Pizzinini family since 1939, reopened on 24 July 2025 after its transformation by architect Jean-Michel Gathy. Aman ranks among the 12 most exclusive hotel brands in the world, according to our ranking.

The Piz Sorega lift, 300 metres from the hotel, links directly to the Dolomiti Superski and its more than 1,200 km of pistes. A shuttle runs there all day. At the Ski Lounge, a ski butler, a kind of personal valet for the slopes, prepares the equipment each morning and takes care of lift passes and private instructors alike.

Away from the lifts, private guides lead snowshoe outings, winter walks and ski touring. The more experienced can try ice climbing in the Serrai di Sottoguda gorge, beneath the Marmolada. Children have private ski lessons, rides on sleds pulled by dogs or horses, a games room, a Teen Lounge and three cinema rooms. This season, cross-country takes centre stage

Around San Cassiano, groomed Nordic trails run through the forests. The hotel is showcasing them with the “Mountain Escape, Dolomite Cross Country Skiing” stay, five nights for two people, offered from 4 December 2026 to 29 March 2027. It includes daily equipment hire, access to the Centro Fondo Alta Badia and free transfers from the hotel. Aman’s press release adds yoga or stretching before setting out and a recovery massage on return. The price of the offer has not been published.

The Centro Fondo Alta Badia is in Sciaré, in the Armentarola area. Its 26 km of trails come with changing rooms, a school, a rental service and a bar-restaurant.

The Aman Spa spreads over 1,684 m² and two levels, with seven treatment rooms and signature treatments inspired by Alpine traditions. Outside, the heated 20 m infinity pool steams above the snowy forests. Indoors, the adults-only area brings together a pool, Finnish and bio saunas, a hammam and a cold plunge pool.

The 51 rooms and suites combine natural wood and stone behind large picture windows. Most have a glass-fronted fireplace and a private balcony. The range starts with the Superior Rooms of 40 to 44 m², on the village side.

At the very top, the 100 m² Dolomites Suite offers 360-degree panoramic views, a central fireplace, a dedicated lift and a private Finnish sauna set outdoors. It can connect to a Superior Room to form a two-bedroom unit.

Enju, the Japanese hotpot of the Dolomites

At the Enju restaurant, guests share shabu-shabu, the Japanese hotpot: prime meats and seasonal vegetables cook at the table in a simmering broth, over a menu of several courses. A selection of rare sakes and teas goes with it. Enju opens every evening from 6.30 pm to 10.30 pm. The hotel also has The Grill, for Italian cuisine, and the lounge bar Il Salotto.
