A selection of rooms goes Signature

The official website makes it clear: the hotel has 264 rooms and suites, a selection of which have recently been renovated, and the classic categories remain on sale. The new ones carry the Signature suffix: Deluxe, Deluxe City View, Deluxe River View and Premium Avenue View Signature, at 23 m², Junior Suite and Premium Suite Signature, at 45 m², and Executive Suite Signature, at 65 m².
The design was entrusted to Rodrigo Izquierdo Studio. Neither the completion date nor the cost of the works has been disclosed. For the record, the previous full renovation dates from 2016-2017: it cost 15 million euros, and the hotel then had 285 rooms.
Lisbon Flair, the Pardal Monteiro legacy
The studio started from the building’s architectural identity, shaped by the modernist influence brought in 1955 by the Portuguese architect Porfírio Pardal Monteiro. Its palette, named ‘Lisbon Flair’, pairs soft blues that recall azulejos, greens borrowed from the trees of Avenida da Liberdade and the terracotta of the city’s rooftops. Solid wood, natural stone, brass and iron accompany bespoke furniture in the rooms, suites and corridors.
The carpets echo the geometric patterns of the façade, and gilded medallions recall the original 1930s key fobs.
Where does the ‘Sintra’ tapestry come from?

A contemporary textile piece reinterprets ‘Sintra’, the tapestry by Mily Possoz created for the Portalegre Tapestry Manufactory. The decorative objects and ceramics were chosen by Felipa Almeida, and works by Portuguese artists complete the décor.
In the bathrooms, the toiletries are by Claus Porto, the Portuguese house, in its Citron Verbena scent.
A 210 m² presidential suite, fully redesigned
It is the centrepiece of the project: the 210 m² presidential suite has been completely redesigned, with new furniture and décor and a collection of Portuguese artworks. It has private terraces facing the city and the Tagus, a steam bath and a kitchenette.
The hotel also offers the 104 m² Beatriz Costa suite, a tribute to the Portuguese actress.
From €340 to €8,197 a night in November
For the night of 24 to 25 November 2026, checked on 9 October 2026, the 23 m² Deluxe Signature starts at €340 for two adults, on a non-refundable rate without breakfast, taxes included (€350 on a flexible rate). Expect from €838 for a Junior Suite Signature, from €1,148 for an Executive Suite Signature and from €8,197 for the presidential suite.
The 65 m² Executive Suite Signature adds a refrigerated wine cabinet and a series of extras: a one-way transfer from the station or airport, in-suite check-in, a complimentary non-alcoholic minibar, pressing of two garments, a port tasting and tea served at turndown. Breakfast is served in the suite when booked on a breakfast-inclusive rate.
Avenida da Liberdade, an address since 1933
The hotel is the flagship of Tivoli, which has 22 properties, including eight in Portugal, four in Italy, such as the Tivoli Palazzo 1880 Lecce, and four in the Middle East.
The restaurants are not part of this announcement. The Cervejaria Liberdade by chef Miguel Silva, devoted to fish and seafood from the Portuguese coast, reopened in June 2025 after more than two months of works. On the 9th floor, the 1933 Wine & Spirits Collection by Cellar 47 wine shop, overseen by sommelier Jorge Silva, has offered private tastings and masterclasses since spring 2026.
The lobby, the SEEN Sky Bar and the SEEN by Olivier rooftop restaurant, the pool in the semi-tropical garden and the Anantara Spa are not affected by the renovation. For comparison, see our pick of the best hotels in Lisbon and the Andaz Lisbon, the first Andaz in Portugal, in the Baixa.
