As summer approaches, Emirates airline has unveiled an offer that transforms a simple transit into a luxury stay: one to two complimentary nights at one of the city’s most spectacular hotels, the JW Marriott Marquis. A significant incentive to attract connecting passengers, at a time when Gulf hubs are engaged in fierce competition.
Complimentary Nights to Extend Your Layover
Launched on 22 June, the campaign targets passengers holding a return ticket to Dubai, or with a layover of more than 24 hours. First and Business Class travellers will receive two complimentary nights, while Premium Economy and Economy passengers will receive one night. Bookings must be made by 12 July for stays before 30 September. The promotion is combined with the return of My Emirates Pass, which offers over 600 discounts at restaurants, spas, and attractions across the emirate simply by presenting your boarding pass.
The JW Marriott Marquis, a Giant on Sheikh Zayed Road
Standing on Sheikh Zayed Road, bordering the Dubai Water Canal, the hotel impresses with its stature: two twin towers of 355 metres that earned it the title of the world’s tallest hotel from Guinness World Records upon its opening in 2013. Although it has since been surpassed by other hotel skyscrapers in Dubai, it remains one of the tallest on the planet, with 1,608 rooms and suites spread across its two towers.

In terms of lifestyle, the establishment boasts over twelve restaurants, bars, and lounges, from The Vault perched on the top floors to Italian, Japanese, and Indian eateries. The Saray Spa covers 3,700 m² and features seventeen treatment rooms, a traditional hammam, and a Dead Sea water flotation pool. This ensures that a Dubai stopover can be a destination in itself.
