On the northern shore of Lake Geneva, in the Ouchy district of Lausanne, the Beau-Rivage Palace first opened its doors in 1861. It is the antithesis of an Alpine palace: no snow, no skiing, but panoramic views of the lake and the Vaudois Alps from each of its 168 rooms. It has been ranked Switzerland’s best hotel for 2025 by several international ratings.
Anne-Sophie Pic au Beau-Rivage Palace
The triple-Michelin-starred French chef (Maison Pic, Valence) brings her international cuisine here, earning two Michelin stars. The dining room, bathed in light overlooking the lake, offers a “signature” cuisine centred around freshwater fish and Swiss produce.
Café Beau-Rivage and Brasserie
The Café Beau-Rivage, open all day, is the palace’s historic brasserie. Specialities include: Lake Geneva perch fillets, fondue, and hand-cut tartare. The Sunday brunch on the lakeside terrace has become a Lausanne institution.
Cinq Mondes Spa
