Minor Hotels will open its first hotel in Hanoi in 2028: the Avani+ Hanoi, featuring 310 keys in the heart of the Hinode City complex, within the Bach Mai district. Announced on 17 September 2026, the project has been entrusted to the Thai group through a management contract with its Vietnamese owner. According to Minor, this also marks its first branded hotel in a major Vietnamese city, where its presence was previously limited to the coast.

310 keys in the Hinode City complex
The hotel will occupy a tower in Hinode City, a large mixed-use development in the Bach Mai district that also includes 1,099 apartments. It will feature 310 keys comprising rooms, suites and apartments designed for extended stays, an indoor pool extended by a terrace, a fitness centre, several restaurants and meeting rooms. Minor describes it as a “premium lifestyle” hotel, a step below the luxury of its Anantara brand.
The management contract was signed with Gerbera-II Hospitality, a subsidiary of developer Trading Construction Works Organization. “This is our first branded hotel in a major Vietnamese city, and the central Bach Mai district is the right place to start,” said Omar Romero, Chief Development and Luxury Officer at Minor Hotels.
Avani, Minor’s premium brand
Launched in 2011, Avani now boasts over forty hotels. The Avani+ label is already found in Khao Lak and Hua Hin in Thailand, Luang Prabang and Vientiane in Laos, and the Maldives. The newest addition, the Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane, opened on 1 July 2026 with 197 keys: the visuals below set the tone while awaiting those for the Hanoi project.
Minor Hotels in Vietnam, from coast to Hanoi
Minor already operates four hotels in Vietnam, all on the coast: Anantara Hoi An, Anantara Mui Ne, Anantara Quy Nhon Villas and Avani Quy Nhon, alongside The Vietage luxury train. Hanoi continues to attract international groups: the Shilla Monogram Hanoi West Lake opens in October, the LÈGACY Hanoi has just opened, and Capella Hanoi has retained its three Michelin Keys.
