MiM Hotels: Inside Lionel Messi’s six luxury hotels, now managed by Meliá

In brief
  • 🏆 Lionel Messi owns the six MiM boutique hotels, located in Spain and Andorra.
  • 📍 The addresses: Sitges, Ibiza, Mallorca, Baqueira Beret, Sotogrande and Andorra.
  • 🤝 Since November 2025, management has been entrusted to Meliá Hotels International, as part of The Meliá Collection.
  • 🎖️ Each hotel cultivates the champion’s DNA: Messi Suite, a signed replica of the Ballon d’Or and LEED environmental certification.

The hotel heritage of the greatest player in history

While Cristiano Ronaldo was building his brand with Pestana, Lionel Messi chose another path: property ownership. Through his family investment company, the Argentinian owns six boutique hotels under the MiM brand, all located in premium positions in Spain and Andorra.

Six hotels, two atmospheres

The collection plays on two registers. On the party and relaxation side, the MiM hotels in Sitges, Ibiza and Mallorca are adults only · rooftops with sea views, pools, and refined gastronomy up to Michelin-star level. On the family and great outdoors side, Andorra, Baqueira and Sotogrande focus on the mountains, skiing and golf.

Publicité

All share a common thread: nods to the owner, from the “Messi Suite” to memorabilia displays, including a signed replica of the Ballon d’Or. Another, more subtle signature: all six properties are LEED certified, the international benchmark for sustainable building.

November 2025: Meliá takes the helm

Long managed by the Barcelona-based Majestic Hotel Group, Messi’s hotels changed hands in late 2025: Meliá Hotels International, the Spanish hotel giant, now handles their management and has integrated them into The Meliá Collection, its selection of characterful addresses. The collection now has its official showcase with Meliá.

The star turned investor

Messi hasn’t put his name in neon lights on the facades: the MiM brand remains understated, and Meliá is the operator. The player acts as a property investor, not a public advertising ambassador · an approach closer to De Niro than Ronaldo, complementing a portfolio that already features a legendary private jet. Three stars, three models: the series continues.
