The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm will reopen its doors on 1st November 2026, following six months of renovations. The property occupies the upper floors of the Palm Tower’s west tower, at the junction of the trunk and crescent of Palm Jumeirah, reopening amidst a wave of simultaneous luxury hotel renovations across Dubai.

A closure timed for summer, not the season

The hotel withdrew its rooms from sale on 12 April 2026. This timing was no coincidence: the works were concentrated during the summer months, when the Gulf heat empties leisure hotels, allowing the property to welcome back guests just in time for the high winter season. The 1st November reopening falls right before peak footfall.

Furthermore, the closure was not total. The rooms, spa and certain services were suspended, but several restaurants remained open throughout the duration of the works, as the house rooftop is a destination in its own right for Dubai residents, independently of the hotel.

290 keys above the Gulf

The inventory remains unchanged: 264 rooms and 26 suites. All open onto floor-to-ceiling bay windows, offering three distinct horizons depending on orientation: the Palm Jumeirah crescent, the Arabian Gulf, or the Dubai Marina skyline. The height of the Palm Tower gives these views an expanse that beachside properties on the Palm, positioned at sea level, simply cannot match.

The butler service, a hallmark of St. Regis since the brand’s first New York establishment in 1904, remains available 24 hours a day for all guests, from standard rooms to suites.

Six rooftop dining venues, including the world’s only three-star Indian restaurant

This is arguably the property’s most unique asset. St. Regis Gardens brings together six restaurants on a single open-air terrace: Trèsind Studio, Chez Wam, Aretha, Signor Sassi, LEÑA and Hanu.

Among them, Trèsind Studio is the first and only Indian restaurant in the world to hold three Michelin stars. Chef Himanshu Saini serves a seventeen-to-twenty-course menu for just around twenty covers, structured around four regional acts: the Thar Desert, the Deccan Plateau, the coastal plains, and the Northern Plains and Himalayas. Few hotels worldwide can boast such a culinary destination on their rooftop.

What the reopening says about the Dubai market

St. Regis is not alone in closing its doors for a refresh. Several major Dubai properties have undertaken renovations during the same window, a sign that the luxury hotel stock is reaching an age requiring updates, and that competition no longer forgives dated interiors. In a market where five-star supply expands every quarter, stepping back for six months is a gamble: that of returning with a product sharp enough to justify its rates.
