The Best Luxury Hotels in the Swiss Alps: Alpine Palaces 2026

The Swiss Alps have remained Europe’s favourite luxury playground for over a century. From the Badrutt’s Palace in St. Moritz to the Gstaad Palace, from Zermatt’s Mont Cervin Palace to the jewels of Crans-Montana, these legendary establishments combine alpine tradition, ski-in/ski-out access, and exceptional Swiss hospitality. On the shores of Lake Geneva, the Beau-Rivage Palace in Lausanne completes the map. Our 2026 selection.

The neo-Gothic castle overlooking St. Moritz, opened in 1896. 155 rooms and suites, including 43 suites, 9 restaurants (Le Restaurant, 1 Michelin star; IGNIV by Andreas Caminada, 2 stars), a 2,800 m² spa, and a private tennis club. Open seasons · June-September and December-April. The absolute benchmark for European alpine hospitality, frequented by five generations of royalty and Hollywood stars.
