Every autumn, the travel trade convenes at Porte de Versailles. IFTM, which many still refer to by its former name IFTM Top Resa, remains France’s sole B2B trade show spanning the entire tourism ecosystem. For hoteliers, it represents three days to connect with distribution networks, tour operators, and corporate travel buyers in one single venue.
Here are the dates, key features for this year, and everything you need to know before securing your badge.
Dates, Venue and Opening Hours
The 2026 edition will run from Tuesday 15 to Thursday 17 September, in Hall 1 of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, located at 1 Place de la Porte de Versailles in the 15th arrondissement of Paris.
| Day | Opening Hours |
|---|---|
| Tuesday 15 September | 09:30 to 19:00 |
| Wednesday 16 September | 09:30 to 19:00 |
| Thursday 17 September | 09:30 to 18:30 |
The venue is easily accessible via Metro Line 12 (Porte de Versailles station) or Line 8 (Balard), as well as Tramway lines T2 and T3a. From Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, allow around 40 minutes via RER B then T3a; from Paris-Orly, expect roughly 50 minutes via Metro Line 14 and T3a.

What the Trade Show Really Delivers
IFTM holds a distinct market position: it is France’s only B2B trade fair dedicated entirely to tourism. In practice, exhibitors include tourist boards and destination marketing organisations, tour operators, cruise lines, airlines, hotel groups, travel agency networks, car hire companies, technology providers, and travel tech start-ups.
On the visitor side, attendees include travel agents, retail network directors, corporate travel managers, procurement buyers, MICE and event planners, coach operators, public bodies, and specialised media. The primary objective is clear: nearly 45% of visitors attend specifically to meet prospective suppliers and partners. A dedicated matchmaking platform, Everywhere, enables participants to pre-schedule their appointments ahead of the event.
Key Figures from the Last Edition
To put the scale of the event into perspective, here are the official figures from the 2025 edition held last September. These are recorded results, rather than forward-looking estimates for 2026.
| Indicator | 2025 Edition | 2024 Edition |
|---|---|---|
| Visitors | 32,022 | 31,900 |
| Represented brands | over 1,650 | nearly 1,400 |
| Destinations | 177 | 170 |
| Business meetings | 16,725 | 13,090 |
| Exhibition space | 28,500 m² | 27,000 m² |
| Accredited journalists | 800 | over 700 |
The most compelling growth lies in pre-arranged business meetings, which increased by nearly 28% year-on-year. In terms of attendance demographics, 82% of visitors are based in France and 18% travel from abroad, with professional interest divided between leisure (39%), business travel (25%), group travel (21%), and MICE (14%). The organiser, RX France, targets 10% to 15% attendance growth this year.
Uzbekistan in the Spotlight, and the 2026 Theme
This edition places Uzbekistan in the spotlight. The official launch took place on 10 June at the country’s embassy in Paris, and the main plenary hall will be named Arena by Uzbekistan. The destination highlighted 11.7 million visitors in 2025, representing a 30% increase, including nearly 30,000 French travellers.
The central theme of the edition, “the value of travel”, revolves around three pillars: economic and regional value, human and relational value, and sustainable and collective value.

New Features and Event Highlights
Several formats are evolving this year. The Club Affaires moves to a new location and introduces a programme of qualified one-to-one business meetings on Thursday morning from 08:30 to 10:30. A dedicated TechZone offers an immersive three-step journey, including a mock immersive travel agency. The Sustainable Initiatives Village returns for its second edition, alongside the La Plume Verte awards, which feature a new Special Destinations Prize this year. The Africa Convention will hold its third edition on Wednesday and Thursday.
On the conference front, the opening keynote takes place on Tuesday, followed by the International Panorama and the Orchestra Start-Up Contest. Wednesday hosts the AI Barometer, the Business Travel Barometer, and the MICE Barometer, alongside the Innovation Awards at midday. Thursday concludes with the finals of the Travel Agents Cup and its Junior counterpart. Around fifteen themed villages structure the trade floor, from Destination France to the Cruise Village and the Mountain Village.

Ticket Prices and Complimentary Access
This is a detail many professionals discover too late: unlike many industry trade shows, admission to IFTM is chargeable. Tiered ticket pricing applies depending on the booking date, rewarding early registration.
| Ticket Option | Price (incl. VAT) |
|---|---|
| Early-bird registration (until 10 July) | €80 |
| From 11 July to 14 September | €130 |
| On-site, during the show | €210 |
| Premium Visitor Pass (50 passes available) | €450 |
Access remains complimentary for journalists via accreditation through the online press room, as well as for students from accredited tourism hospitality schools, strictly on Thursday 17 from 13:00 onwards. Badges are strictly personal and non-transferable, and conference attendance is included without prior booking. Minors under 18 years of age are not admitted without prior written authorisation.
IFTM or IFTM Top Resa? Clarifying the Brand Name
Both names continue to circulate in conversation, which is understandable. The event officially dropped the Top Resa suffix in favour of IFTM alone during a brand refresh announced in March 2024, effective from the September 2024 edition. The acronym stands for International & French Travel Market. In practice, the legacy name still appears occasionally on organiser collateral and remains widely used across the industry, where “Top Resa” is still a familiar shorthand.
Should Hoteliers Attend?
If your hotel works with travel distribution networks, groups, or corporate clientele, the answer is undoubtedly yes. The business case is straightforward: three days to meet face-to-face with travel agency networks, tour operators, and corporate buyers who might otherwise take months to reach. The trade fair also serves as a strategic vantage point to assess emerging booking technologies and evolving guest expectations around sustainability. Our practical advice is to register early: the difference between early-bird pricing and on-site rates reaches €130 per person, and business meetings are best scheduled well in advance via the event’s platform.
