Venice had its palazzos, its secret gardens and its Cipriani; it now has its Dior Spa. Since 15 July 2026, Hotel Cipriani, A Belmond Hotel, has been home on the island of Giudecca to the first spa from the Avenue Montaigne fashion house in La Serenissima, a two-level space designed by Peter Marino, featuring five treatment rooms and three treatments imagined for the city of masks. Dior calls it “Haute Wellness”, a wellbeing experience conceived like Haute Couture: bespoke, artisanal and uncompromising.

Two levels signed by Peter Marino
The spa is part of the multi-phase transformation of the Cipriani entrusted to American architect Peter Marino, the man behind Dior and Chanel boutiques worldwide. Spread across two levels, it features five treatment rooms, including a double suite for couples, a relaxation lounge and a boutique dedicated to the house’s perfumes, skincare and makeup. Veined marbles, backlit onyx, Venetian terrazzo and Murano glass chandeliers compose a cream and gold decor overlooking the Casanova gardens, one of the lagoon’s rare large private gardens.
The venue contrasts with the hustle and bustle of St Mark’s, just a few minutes away by private boat. Belmond describes it as an oasis of serenity amidst the gardens, where each treatment draws on Ayurvedic philosophy, cutting-edge technology and the expert touch of the therapists. It is the Dior promise: a physical experience that extends the brand’s aesthetic universe, far from the fleeting cosmetics counter.

Mascarade, Grand Bal, Théâtre Corporel
Three rituals have been created for Venice, echoing Christian Dior’s passion for masked balls. Mascarade combines massage, ultrasound, microcurrents, cryotherapy and LED light, a nod to the Venetian art of the mask. Grand Bal is an evening preparation ritual: scalp care, facial sculpting, bespoke makeup and manicure, to leave the treatment room ready for an evening at the palazzo.
Lastly, Théâtre Corporel is a four-handed body treatment featuring guided meditation, aromachology oils and fascia work, available in a duo version. The prices for these three rituals have not been disclosed by the house; the classic Dior Spa protocols remain on the menu: Kobi-Dior, Golden Aura, Dior Powered by Hydrafacial, New Look, D-Tissue, Constellation and 9 Moons.

Two signature holistic experiences
Beyond the treatment rooms, Dior has called upon two international experts. Nutritionist and functional medicine practitioner Rose Ferguson signs the Self Alignment Cruise, and Pilates coach Bryony Deery the Grounding Slow Movement Therapy, two programmes blending slow movement, nutrition and breathing within the gardens. The spa complements the Cipriani’s wellness offering, whose heated Olympic-sized swimming pool remains one of Venice’s most famous.

Dior and Belmond, an LVMH alliance
This partnership is no coincidence. Belmond has belonged to the LVMH group since 2019, like Parfums Christian Dior, and the two houses are multiplying joint spas across the collection’s addresses, from the Cipriani to the grand hotels of the Italian Riviera. In Venice, the fashion house adds another stone to a clear strategy: making its spas destinations in their own right, where luxury is experienced through slowness rather than shop windows.
For the Cipriani, opened in 1958 by Giuseppe Cipriani, it is also another compelling argument in the race for the lagoon’s most discerning guests, at a time when the Lido is preparing to welcome back Hotel Des Bains and competition from Grand Canal palazzos remains fierce. A Dior Spa in the Casanova gardens is a reason to stay in itself.
Our perspective
Dior is not just opening another hotel spa here: the house is establishing a destination venue in one of the world’s most photographed hotels, with an architect who knows its vocabulary inside out. The move is consistent with the Cipriani’s upscaling, but it also raises a question: with so many brand-name spas, the Venetian hotel experience risks becoming uniform from one luxury hotel to the next. The difference will be made by the three treatments created for Venice, the only ones you won’t find anywhere else.
A major unknown remains for the reader: the pricing, which neither Dior nor Belmond has published. We will add them as soon as they are confirmed, and we will test the Mascarade as soon as the lagoon calls us back.
