The best hotels with outdoor pools in Paris · The official 2026 ranking

Last updated:

◆ May 2026 · Paris · Official outdoor pools ranking

Our chic and premium ranking of the five Parisian hotels with a genuine open-air outdoor pool. From the secret Pool Suite in the Marais to the mythical 46m Art Deco Molitor, here is our top 5 from least to most iconic · ranking, average rates and direct availability links.

Publicité

In Paris, truly outdoor pools in luxury hotels are a rare commodity. Across all palaces, lifestyle and boutique properties in the capital, there are barely five · from the mythical Art Deco Molitor to the garden of the newly opened Sax Paris, via the floating pool on the Seine at the OFF, the Philippe Starck-designed pool at MOB House on the northern outskirts of the capital, and the private rooftop of a hidden suite in the Marais.

For this official La Revue Des Hôtels 2026 ranking, we applied a single discriminating technical criterion: each address must offer a strictly outdoor, open-air pool accessible to hotel guests. Indoor pools, covered pools under glazed roofs and hammams were excluded. Beyond this filter, we weighted four criteria: design quality, overall stay experience, accessibility (within Paris city limits or close to the metro) and value for money.

Hôtel 1K Paris

The Marais private pool in a duplex Pool Suite

◆ Average rates

Standard room
from €250 per night (without pool)
Pool Suite high season
around €800 per night (May–September)
Pool Suite low season
from €500 per night (Nov.–Mar.)

Tucked away on Boulevard du Temple a stone’s throw from the Musée Picasso, the Hôtel 1K Paris is the only address in the capital to offer a private outdoor pool integrated into a suite. Far from a shared basin, the Pool Suite is a 70 m² duplex · king-size bed on the lower level, a mezzanine lounge, two bathrooms, and above all a private terrace on the Parisian rooftops where a heated pool stretches out. The Latin American decor throughout the rest of the hotel · colourful walls, tropical plants, signature furniture · gives the experience a resolutely unique atmosphere, a world apart from classic hotel codes.

  • 13 boulevard du Temple, 75003 Paris · Marais
  • Duplex Pool Suite 70 m² · 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms
  • Heated private outdoor pool on private terrace
  • Signature Latin American decor · 3 bars and lounges
  • 50 rooms and suites including only 2 Pool Suites

Why #5: unique in France, the Pool Suite at 1K Paris is the only Parisian hotel room to offer a private outdoor pool on its own terrace. Niche, exclusive, and ideal for a completely private stay for two.

The 20-metre outdoor pool stretches through a landscaped garden of 2,000 m², surrounded by complimentary cabanas, sun loungers and parasols. ★★★★★ Urban resort · 16th Auteuil · Accor MGallery

Hôtel Molitor Paris MGallery

The Art Deco icon · 46 metres in the open air

Hôtel Molitor Paris · 46-metre Art Deco outdoor pool 16th arrondissement

◆ Average rates

Low season
from €380 per night (Nov.–Mar. excl. holidays)
High season

Roland-Garros / summer
€650–€750 per night (French Open · peak July–August)
Signature suites
from €900 to €2,500 per night depending on season

Built in 1929 by Lucien Pollet in the ocean-liner style, the Molitor has marked the history of Paris far beyond the world of hospitality: skating clubs, the launch of the bikini in 1946, closure in 1989 followed by two decades as an artistic squat before the renovation by Jean-Philippe Nuel and the reopening in 2014 under the MGallery banner. The 46-metre outdoor pool, restored to its original state, remains the longest hotel pool in Paris · an absolute rarity in the capital. The basin, framed by Klein-blue seaside-style cabins, is heated year-round. Inside the building, a second 33-metre pool completes the experience. The hotel counts 124 rooms and suites, a Clarins spa and a rooftop with Eiffel Tower views open from April to September.

  • 13 rue Nungesser et Coli, 75016 Paris · Porte de Saint-Cloud
  • 46-m 1929 Art Deco outdoor pool restored, heated year-round
  • 33-m indoor pool as a bonus · Clarins spa
  • 124 rooms and suites · Jean-Philippe Nuel design
  • Rooftop open April–September with Eiffel Tower views

Why #1: the rare combination of an intact Art Deco heritage, the longest outdoor hotel pool in Paris (46 m, heated year-round), an ocean-liner atmosphere and consistent MGallery service. An institution that fully deserves its place as the undisputed number one.

How to choose among these five addresses

The choice depends on the experience you are after. For serious swimmers and history enthusiasts, the Molitor remains the absolute reference: 46 metres in the open air, an intact Art Deco heritage, and a neighbourhood set apart from the bustle of the centre. For a garden retreat a stone’s throw from the Eiffel Tower in a contemporary, lifestyle setting, the Sax Paris is the newcomer to discover. For a unique experience swimming alongside the Seine, the OFF Paris Seine is without equal: a heated floating pool, a quayside bar atmosphere, reasonable prices. For a residential stay with a true resort feel 12 minutes from the centre, the MOB House in Saint-Ouen offers a 2,000 m² garden and a Starck pool at an accessible rate. And for an exclusive private retreat for two within Paris, the Pool Suite at 1K Paris remains the only address to offer a private outdoor pool on the Marais rooftops.
