Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof opens Français Jour · Soir, its Parisian champagne salon at €530

The Steigenberger Icon Frankfurter Hof opened on 1 October 2026 Français Jour · Soir: a Parisian salon by day, a private lounge by night. Oleron oysters, quiche lorraine and Laurent-Perrier Alexandra Rosé at €530 a bottle, as the grand Frankfurt hotel brings its 150th anniversary year to a close.

A Parisian salon on Kaiserplatz

The concept spans two rooms connected by a central counter: on one side, pastry and fine groceries, and on the other, the bar, featuring barista coffee, white wines and champagnes. The fireplace lounge embraces red drapes, velvet banquettes and cane-backed chairs; the winter garden opens its large arched windows to the light. According to the hotel, these rooms have hosted gastronomy for over a century.

The Français Jour menu

Breakfast is served from 10 am to 12 pm, ranging from the French Breakfast at €12 to truffle scrambled eggs at €20. The bistro menu takes over from 12 pm to 6 pm: Fines de Claire d’Oléron oysters at €6 each, quiche lorraine at €15, beef tartare at €26, tuna niçoise salad at €28. The Iconic High Tea is served daily from 2 pm to 5 pm at €75, including a glass of champagne. A takeaway selection, featuring the hotel’s signature tart, awaits at the counter.

Champagnes: the price list

The €530 bottle that has everyone talking is not the most expensive: Krug Grande Cuvée tops the menu at €570. On the non-alcoholic front, six teas range from €9.50 to €14, alongside a Valrhona hot chocolate at €12.

Frankfurter Hof, 150 years on Kaiserplatz

Opened in 1876, the Frankfurter Hof now belongs to the Steigenberger Icons brand within the H World International group. It features 267 rooms and 36 suites, a spa spanning approximately 1,000 sq m, Oscar’s restaurant and Autorenbar. Frankfurt’s luxury hospitality scene continues to expand: Taj Hessischer Hof, the first Taj in continental Europe, opened in late September, and The Florentin has been awarded a Michelin Key.
