More than 40 hotels expected by early 2027
The joint press release from Wyndham and HotelREZ states that more than 40 member hotels of Elegant Hotels of the World will have joined Registry Collection Hotels by early 2027. Others may follow, depending on their fit with the brand, their owners’ agreement and the terms of integration. Elegant Hotels of the World brings together more than 300 independent hotels, so only some of them are concerned, and those hotels remain members of the network.
Registry Collection currently has more than 30 hotels in nine countries, including the Bristol Panama, the Hodges Bay Resort & Spa in Antigua and the Balfour Miami Beach. The impact will be strong for the brand, far less so for the group, which fields around 8,500 hotels in some 100 countries and appears in our ranking of the groups with the most hotels.
HotelREZ, founded in 2004 by Mark Lewis, claims a network of more than 1,500 properties. Its boss makes no secret of the aim, saying in the press release: “At its heart, our partnership with Wyndham is about unlocking commercial opportunities for our member hotels.” The text does not detail the contract each hotel will sign with Registry Collection. The move recalls the arrival of five hotels from the Verdi brand in Accor’s Handwritten Collection.
Three MICHELIN Key hotels among the first six

Six hotels are among the first to join the brand, from the week of the press release. Three hold a MICHELIN Key, the guide’s distinction for hotels. In Valletta, the Rosselli AX Privilege occupies a 17th-century palace at 167 Merchants Street, with 25 rooms and suites. According to the press release, it is the only hotel in Malta to combine a MICHELIN Key, a star for its Under Grain restaurant and a Bib Gourmand for Grain Street.
The TownHouse Mykonos, for adults only, has 19 rooms and suites in an 18th-century mansion on Manto Square. It keeps its MICHELIN Key in the 2026 selection and houses the 54 Cocktail Bar & Sunset Lounge.
In Colombia, the Cinco Quintas Hotel Boutique has just received its own in the same selection. In the walled city of Cartagena, it offers 21 rooms, 2 suites, a rooftop terrace, a pool and the Apogeo restaurant.
In Thailand, villas for adults only

On the island of Koh Yao Noi, TreeHouse Villas Koh Yao overlooks Phang Nga Bay. The press release presents it as an adults-only retreat, with private pools and a beach.
Galgorm, 220 hectares and a thermal spa village
In Northern Ireland, Galgorm Resort stretches across some 220 hectares (550 acres) on the banks of the River Maine. Rated five stars by the AA, the British hotel rating body, it is known for its Thermal Spa Village and its golf. With 125 rooms and suites, plus cottages, shepherd’s huts and Forest Dens, it is anything but a small address. The region is also following another project, The Ann hotel in Belfast.
Four stars at Roe Valley: an uneven standard
Roe Valley Resort, near Derry/Londonderry, is described by the press release itself as a four-star, on some 63 hectares (155 acres) with an 18-hole golf course. It is the lowest standard of the six hotels named.
So this list should not be read as a string of luxury boutique hotels. Many of the properties have, according to the press release, between 20 and 50 rooms, but Galgorm has 125 and Roe Valley sits a notch below five-star. Above all, the full list has not been published: with six names out of more than 40, the overall standard remains impossible to judge.
Points for 129 million members
The hotels join Wyndham Rewards, the group’s loyalty programme, which has around 129 million members. Scott Strickland, Chief Commercial Officer of Wyndham, explains in the press release: “Whether it’s a once-in-a-lifetime vacation, a destination wedding, or a milestone celebration, members want their points to take them to places that feel as special as the moments they’re celebrating.” One unknown remains for members: Wyndham has not confirmed the points scale for these hotels.
Best Loved Hotels, the other side of the deal
The deal provides for a second model, to launch later in 2026. Best Loved Hotels properties will have selective access to Wyndham’s technology, including Wyndham Connect and Wyndham AI Concierge, and to its third-party distribution platform. They will not join Registry Collection.
