Park Gstaad postpones its opening under the Four Seasons brand to summer 2027

Last updated:
In brief
  • The opening of Park Gstaad under the Four Seasons flag is now rescheduled for summer 2027.
  • The completely restructured property will house 75 keys, including penthouse residences, as well as seven restaurants and lounges.
  • The project brings together designer Joseph Dirand for the interiors and Clinique La Prairie for the spa area.

A revised timeline for the metamorphosis of Park Gstaad

Initially expected for the 2026/2027 winter season, the inauguration of the future Park Gstaad under the Four Seasons flag will ultimately take place in summer 2027. This postponement is due to the high standards of the renovation work undertaken to elevate the property to the ultra-luxury standards of the Canadian brand. Supported by the owners brought together around Dona Bertarelli and the developer Squircle Capital, this major project aims to transform this historic address in the Swiss resort. General Manager Reto Moser, appointed in spring 2026, is orchestrating this transition, which demands an impeccable level of finish.

An aesthetic signature by Joseph Dirand

The architectural and interior design of the hotel relies on the vision of French designer Joseph Dirand, renowned for his mastery of light and sleek lines. The architect is creating contemporary spaces while preserving the traditional charm and warm spirit of Gstaad chalets. The hotel will offer 75 rooms and suites, including exclusive penthouse residences with panoramic views of the alpine landscape. The entire property has been designed to ensure an intimate and discreet setting in the heart of the Bernese Oberland.

A diverse culinary offer and an exceptional partnership with Clinique La Prairie

The dining offer at Park Gstaad will be structured around seven culinary spaces with distinct identities, combining fine dining options with relaxed atmospheres. The wellness centre will reach new heights thanks to an exclusive partnership with the famous Clinique La Prairie. Equipped with indoor and outdoor pools, the spa will roll out targeted treatment programmes focused on longevity and revitalisation. This strategic alliance between Swiss medical expertise and Four Seasons hospitality know-how aims to position the property as a premier wellness sanctuary in the Alps.
