The Losehill House hotel, a 1914 spa house in Mr Darcy country before Netflix’s Pride and Prejudice

On 3 December 2026, Netflix will release its new adaptation of ‘Pride and Prejudice’. In Jane Austen’s novel, Derbyshire is home to Pemberley, Mr Darcy’s estate, and it is here that the Peak District, a national park in the heart of England, unfolds. For a stay, the Losehill House hotel offers a 1914 house, a spa and an acclaimed restaurant, less than 30 minutes from Chatsworth, the Pemberley of the 2005 film.

Netflix has confirmed the date: six episodes from 3 December 2026. Written by Dolly Alderton and directed by Euros Lyn, the series stars Emma Corrin as Elizabeth Bennet, Jack Lowden as Mr Darcy, Olivia Colman as Mrs Bennet and Rufus Sewell as Mr Bennet. The platform has not detailed its filming locations; Derbyshire, for its part, has been Pemberley country ever since the novel.

La Revue des Hôtels keeps track of these screen-linked addresses, from Hartsfield Manor, the Slow Horses setting in Surrey to the Lanesborough’s Bridgerton afternoon tea in London, by way of the hotels of The Gentlemen on Lake Maggiore.

Under 30 min to Chatsworth, the film’s Pemberley

In the 2005 film, Chatsworth House played Pemberley, Haddon Hall stood in for the inn at Lambton, and the gritstone ridge of Stanage Edge, above the Hope Valley, was the setting for Elizabeth’s walk. From Losehill House, Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are less than 30 minutes’ drive away, and the village of Castleton about 6 km.

The Arts and Crafts house was built in 1914 by the CHA, a walking association, on the site of an 18th-century farm. It was a guest house for almost 90 years, until it closed in 2001 during the foot-and-mouth outbreak, before the previous owners turned it into a hotel.

It hosted the ramblers from Sheffield and Manchester who were preparing the 1932 mass trespass on Kinder Scout, a walk across private land that paved the way for the right to roam and for the Peak District National Park, the first in Great Britain. Its name comes from two hills, Lose Hill and Win Hill, linked by tradition to a Saxon battle around 650. The Roden family (Paul, Kathryn and Millie) has run the hotel for 18 years, and the park authority has awarded it its environmental label, the Peak District Environmental Quality Mark.

The hotel bills itself as the only spa hotel inside the national park. Its Thalgo spa, named after the French marine skincare brand, brings together a 10-metre heated indoor pool looking out to Win Hill and the Hope Valley, a sauna, an outdoor hot tub on the terrace and treatment rooms. Access is by 60-minute slots booked in advance; the spa is also open to non-residents, seven days a week.
