Nearly two hundred women die every day in France from cardiovascular disease. It is the leading cause of female mortality, ahead of breast cancer, and also one of the least identified: symptoms differ from those of men, and diagnosis arrives late. EMERIA Dinard is launching a six-day programme built entirely around this issue, named Ma Parenthèse Cœur de Femme.
A blind spot in public health
According to the French Federation of Cardiology, one in three women will face a heart condition during her lifetime. These pathologies have long been perceived as male, and this representation has concrete consequences: atypical signs that are not linked to the heart, and a longer care management delay.
It is upon this discrepancy that the programme positions itself, placing diagnosis before treatments rather than on the sidelines of them. The approach shifts thalassotherapy from a register of relaxation towards a register of prevention.
What sets this stay apart from a traditional cure
The journey begins before arrival. Each participant completes a health questionnaire developed with Suriia, which guides the content of the cure. On site, an in-depth consultation with the establishment’s doctor refines this initial portrait, supported by a Cardicheck assessment and an impedancemetry check.
During the stay, a connected watch is offered without obligation. It tracks heart rate, recovery, oxygenation, respiration, sleep and activity. This data is analysed at the end of the programme to establish a personalised prevention plan, designed to remain valid after departure. This is the point that most differentiates this formula from a fitness week: it produces a monitoring document, not just a feeling of well-being.

Two orientations, one common foundation
The first phase is identical for all: the classics of thalassotherapy, whirlpool baths, remineralising body wraps, jet showers and hydrorelaxations, complemented by two cryotherapy sessions. The stated objective is to stimulate circulation and prepare the ground before more targeted work.
Then comes the choice. The “feeling more relaxed” pathway aims for let-go and stress management, with a relaxation consultation, a Kansu ritual and three gentle aquatic sessions. The “getting moving again” pathway seeks to revive energy and mobility, with fifty minutes of iMoove Fit® coaching, three active aquatic sessions and a targeted treatment defined by the therapeutic team.
A property that changed hands in 2022
EMERIA Dinard features 167 rooms, including 103 with sea views and 64 on the cottage side, set in a wooded park overlooking the Emerald Coast. The address is rated four stars.
It took its current name in 2022, when it was acquired by Breton businessman Christian Roulleau. Its group, Forstyle Hôtels Collection, also owns ALLIANCE Pornic Thalasso & Spa and two Parisian addresses, which gives the launch of this programme a scope that extends beyond Dinard: what works here is reproducible elsewhere in the portfolio.
Our perspective
French thalassotherapy has lived for years on a wellness positioning that places it in direct competition with hotel spas, without always highlighting what is specific to it: a medical environment and a technical platform. This programme takes the opposite path and embraces the vocabulary of care.
An unknown remains that the launch does not resolve: the value of a prevention plan established in six days will depend entirely on its coordination with each participant’s primary care doctor. Without a follow-up link, it will remain an end-of-stay document. With a link, it is a genuine contribution. We will be attentive to how the establishment handles this handover.
