According to Hilton’s announcement, OSKIA will supply both the treatments and the products of the Waldorf Astoria Spa, and this is its first partnership with a Waldorf Astoria, at any address. The hotel says it wanted to favour British brands. Founder Georgie Cleeve recalls that she lived and worked in London for many years, and points out that the partnership is being forged in a building steeped in history.

OSKIA has created a collection of treatments for the hotel that will not be offered anywhere else, tailored to each guest’s needs. The brand formulates and makes all its products at its own site in Wales. It is built around MSM, an organic form of sulphur, and cellular skin nutrition, with an in-house complex called MSM Regen Complex; it claims more than 250 awards since its launch. The hotel’s website lists massages, body and facial treatments and a hydrotherapy circuit; no treatment prices have been published yet.

The spa will include single and couples’ treatment rooms, a sauna, a hammam, a hydrotherapy pool and an ice fountain, as well as a private relaxation area. The fitness centre will be equipped by Technogym. Caitlin Ryde, appointed Spa Manager, will lead the spa team and its operations. By way of comparison, the Corinthia Rome also chose a historic setting with its spa set in a former bank vault.

What does Guillaume Marly make of it?

For Guillaume Marly, the hotel’s general manager, there is a ‘natural synergy’ between OSKIA and Admiralty Arch: two British houses, devoted to craftsmanship, that share an approach to luxury that is ‘quietly confident’. Choosing a brand that formulates and makes its own products fits the hotel’s stated wish to favour British brands.

Commissioned by Edward VII in memory of Queen Victoria and designed by Sir Aston Webb, Admiralty Arch is a Grade I listed landmark of 200,000 square feet, or about 18,600 m², standing on The Mall since 1912. The restoration is being led by Reuben Brothers, in partnership with Hilton, and it will be the first time guests can stay the night there. In the same St James’s neighbourhood, the Dukes London hotel will reopen in spring 2027.
