In February, as Paris already buzzes with conversations about the César Awards and love finds its way into the plush rooms of the finest hotels, Barrière Collection envisions an experience where cinema is not just watched, but savoury indulged in. With its ciné-room, the Group transforms the intimacy of a hotel room into a highly desirable private screening room, where emotions are experienced behind closed doors, amidst haute cuisine and great romantic films.

Barrière has always maintained a special relationship with the seventh art. A long-standing partner of festivals and a discreet witness to legendary cinematic moments, the group today extends this love affair through an immersive offering, designed for aesthetes, lovers, and travellers seeking bespoke, emotional luxury.

The concept is simple in idea, yet sophisticated in execution: a three or four-course scripted room service, perfectly synchronised with the major scenes of a cult film. For one evening, the room becomes the set, the table becomes the stage, and the film is as much experienced as it is watched.

Iconic Hotels for an Intimate Cinematic Experience

This cinematic interlude takes place in venues steeped in history and elegance: Le Normandy Deauville, L’Hôtel du Golf Deauville, Le Royal La Baule, Le Westminster Le Touquet, Maison Barrière Vendôme, as well as the resorts in Ribeauvillé and Lille.

All mythical settings, where cinema has always found refuge, and where Barrière Collection continues to express its savoir-faire: a precise, discreet art of hospitality, deeply rooted in a certain idea of French luxury.

Two Cult Films, Two Deliciously Scripted Menus

First scenario: A Man and a Woman: 20 Years Later, by Claude Lelouch. As the original film, Palme d’Or winner and two-time Oscar recipient, prepares to celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2026, Barrière Collection chooses to honour the sequel, that of reunions, passing time, and enduring love.

The menu, designed in four courses and timed to iconic scenes, highlights noble and timeless products: scallops elevated with a touch of caviar, perfectly executed Chateaubriand, classic French cuisine elegantly reinterpreted. A gastronomic score reflecting the film: understated, intense, and infinitely chic.

A change of scenery with A Star Is Born, directed by Bradley Cooper. This remake, crowned with awards and starring Lady Gaga, inspires a three-course menu with decidedly American accents. Tacos, lobster roll, giant sharing cookie: a more pop, sunnier cuisine, enhanced by lime, fresh coriander, and sweet potato crisps, echoing the film’s vibrant soundtrack.

Popcorn & Champagne, the Chic and Light Option

For lovers of simple pleasures, Barrière Collection also offers a lighter version of the experience: Popcorn & Champagne. A sparkling, delightfully nostalgic proposition, where glamour is expressed in a chilled flute and a few kernels of corn, while watching a great love story.

Verdict:

With the ciné-room, Barrière Collection delivers a rare experience, at the crossroads of luxury hospitality, gastronomy, and cinema. A private, elegant, profoundly emotional offering, where true luxury lies in intimacy, detail, and suspended time.

La Revue’s Opinion:
A declaration of love for cinema and the art of hospitality, conceived as a film to be experienced in your room. An immersive, chic, and decidedly desirable experience, confirming the unique expertise of Barrière Collection.
