Hilton: Conrad Nagoya eröffnet im Sakae-Viertel - TIP

Conrad Nagoya opens atop a Sakae tower, with 170 rooms and six dining venues

  • 📍 Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, in the Sakae district · the prefecture’s first Conrad.
  • 🏨 170 rooms including 29 suites, on the upper floors of The Landmark Nagoya Sakae tower.
  • 🍽️ Six restaurants and bars spread across the 31st and 40th floors.
  • 🛎️ A 213 m² Conrad Suite on the 40th floor · suites start at 50 m².
  • 🤝 Project led with Mitsubishi Estate, with direct access to Sakae station.

Japanese luxury hospitality is moving beyond the Tokyo-Kyoto axis. With the opening of the Conrad Nagoya in September 2026, the Hilton brand is establishing itself for the first time in Aichi Prefecture · on the upper floors of a tower in the Sakae district, a project led with Mitsubishi Estate.

A vertical address, connected to the metro

The hotel occupies the top of The Landmark Nagoya Sakae tower, in the heart of the city’s commercial and nightlife district. It offers direct access to Sakae station, and the Nagoya Shinkansen station remains just a few minutes away. This network connectivity, more than the view, is what sets the address apart.

Publicité

Nagoya occupies a unique position · the country’s industrial heart, halfway between Tokyo and Kyoto, long passed through rather than visited. It is precisely this status that the arrival of a brand of this calibre calls into question.

170 rooms, 29 suites

The rooms feature a contemporary style subtly tinged with Japanese references, with floor-to-ceiling windows. Suites start at 50 square metres · the Conrad Suite, on the 40th floor, spans 213.

Publicité

Wellness occupies an entire floor · a spa with a heated indoor pool and saunas, and a 24-hour fitness centre.

Six dining venues on the 31st and 40th floors

Dining is divided between six venues. Soryu focuses on sushi-kaiseki, at the crossroads of sushi and traditional haute cuisine. Soen offers teppan-kaiseki, prepared in front of guests. And House of Mon, a rooftop bar, is designed for sunset views. Concentrating six venues on two high floors makes it a destination for locals as much as for residents.

Conrad 1/3/5, the programme worth the detour

This is the most interesting proposition of the entire property · experiences calibrated to the time available: one, three, or five hours. Tea ceremonies, miso-making workshops, local craft beer scenes, or an introduction to Arimatsu Shibori, a textile dyeing technique practised in the region for four centuries.

Publicité

The format addresses a real problem for business travel · a one-hour window between two meetings does not allow for any sightseeing, but is enough for a workshop. It is local craftsmanship made accessible to those who do not have a full day to spare.

An event hub

Several modular rooms complete the offering, dominated by a 342-square-metre Grand Ballroom · sized for receptions, launches, and weddings, in a city where the economy plays a central role.

Our view

The significance of this opening goes beyond the establishment itself. Tokyo and Kyoto have captured the bulk of major brand investment over the last decade · seeing a brand of this stature bet on a regional metropolis signals a shift in the Japanese market.

Publicité

It is an address to recommend for a business trip to Nagoya, where direct metro access and the six dining venues solve the question of evening plans. And for a traveller in transit between Tokyo and Kyoto, the 1/3/5 programme transforms a forced stopover into a discovery · it is probably the hotel’s best argument, and the least highlighted.
