A stone’s throw from the Cours Mirabeau, within the hushed calm of a centenarian bastide, Le Pigonnet cultivates a rare elegance, one that never tries too hard. In Aix-en-Provence, this iconic address celebrates Easter this year with a proposition as sensory as it is refined, driven by the talent of pastry chef Romain Marti. Here, chocolate becomes a pretext to slow down, to savour, to linger.
🍫 A chocolate creation as an object of desire
For the occasion, Romain Marti imagines a signature Easter egg, both graphic and intensely indulgent. Conceived as a standalone piece, it explores the full richness of chocolate by playing on the nuances of Valrhona single origin cocoa : deep dark, enveloping milk, delicate white.
At its heart, a crunchy hazelnut praline disrupts the textures and prolongs the tasting experience. More than a simple dessert, it’s a creation to be contemplated as much as savoured, a perfect balance between pastry precision and indulgent pleasure.
Available to order (limited quantities) – €30
☕ The Chocolate Moment, a sweet afternoon interlude
Every day, between 3 pm and 6 pm, Le Pigonnet offers a gourmet break that feels like a chic ritual. Settled in the lounges or on the shaded terrace, lulled by the gardens, one rediscovers the taste of time stretching out.
Delicate entremets, praline chocolate cookie, warm mousse or homemade hot chocolate compose this sweet symphony, both simple and sophisticated. An almost meditative experience, where luxury lies in the details and the accuracy of the flavours.
Daily from 3 pm to 6 pm – from €4
🌿 A luminous and Mediterranean Easter lunch
To extend the experience, La Table du Pigonnet offers an exclusive lunch on Sunday 5th and Monday 6th April. Seasonal cuisine inspired by the Mediterranean terroir, where spring produce expresses itself with freshness and elegance.
On the plate, flavours are bold, textures light, colours vibrant. A subtle way to celebrate the arrival of warmer days, between revisited tradition and assumed modernity.
Easter Lunch – €95 (excluding drinks)
