The most exclusive beauty houses are no longer content with Parisian palaces: they are now setting up where their clients spend the summer… or the southern winter. From August 2026, St. Regis Le Morne will host the very first La Prairie spa in the Indian Ocean, a regional first that redraws the map of ultra-luxury well-being in Mauritius.
A first in the Indian Ocean
Until now, one had to head to Zurich, Paris, or a few handpicked urban addresses to experience the rituals of the house founded in 1978, now present in over 70 countries. The partnership officialised by the Mauritian resort changes everything: a complete La Prairie treatment menu, including protocols designed solely for Le Morne, will be offered at the St. Regis Spa, renamed St. Regis Spa by La Prairie for the occasion.

Guests will find personalised journeys blending Swiss scientific precision with Mauritian beauty techniques, such as the Cellular Reset Personalised Intensive Facial, a comprehensive 135-minute protocol, or a lifting and firming body wrap. “Our guests do not simply book a suite; they come to experience carefully crafted rituals,” summarises Jean-Baptiste Chazallet, the property’s general manager.

“Mauritian Radiance”: Le Morne’s basalt as a signature ritual
The centerpiece of this alliance is a treatment found nowhere else: the “Mauritian Radiance Experience”, 80 minutes designed as a tribute to the island. The ritual calls upon volcanic basalt, a mineral echo of Mauritius’s geological origins, of which the silhouette of Le Morne Brabant, a UNESCO World Heritage site, remains the most spectacular symbol.
The sequence begins with a ceremonial foot bath and a signature St. Regis breathing exercise, continues with a full-body exfoliation followed by an application of Cashmere Body Cream, and concludes with a Pure Gold facial: basalt stones glide around the eye contour in a massage inspired by lithotherapy, while the house’s golden formulas work on the face’s radiance and contours.

Our view
Barely a year after transitioning to the St. Regis brand, celebrated in May 2026, the Le Morne resort is playing a card that few Mauritian competitors can match: the endorsement of one of the most expensive and coveted skincare houses in the world. Well-being has become the new playground for major luxury houses, and alliances between exceptional hotels and beauty brands are multiplying: we recently reported on the arrival of an exclusive Clarins treatment at the Hôtel de Paris Saint-Tropez and Guerlain’s installation on the roof of the Normandy in Deauville.
For Mauritius, the ultimate honeymoon destination where the resort is already established as one of the island’s most prestigious addresses, this partnership adds a compelling argument against the Maldives and the Seychelles. Exceptional honeymoon enthusiasts can also find our selection of the most beautiful hotels for a honeymoon.
The key takeaway: the Indian Ocean has its first La Prairie spa, and Mauritius is the place to experience it.
