On 4th July 2026, Caldea, in Escaldes-Engordany, Andorra, relaunches its Classic space after several weeks of renovation and equipment renewal. The Classic Space Reopens on 4th July, Following the Thermal Water Flow

Conceived as a journey of disconnection, the Classic space offers complete immersion in spectacular architecture, where water becomes the guiding thread of the experience. Here, one finds the Grand Indoor Lagoon, the true heart of the spa, the Panoramic Lagoon, the Nordic sauna, the hammam, and the Indo-Roman baths. The naturally warm and mineral-rich thermal water guides every stage of the journey. Indoor and outdoor pools, light displays, hydromassage jets, alternating hot and cold: one lets oneself be carried by the currents, alternates rituals, or simply loses track of time. The experience is accessible from 5 years old.
In Summer, a Panoramic Lagoon Suspended Above the Valira River

In the warmer months, the experience takes on a special dimension. Suspended above the Valira river, the outdoor lagoon offers a sensation of weightlessness, between sky, water, and mountains. The outdoor spaces reconnect the body with Andorran nature and make Caldea a welcome alternative to classic summer holidays: here, one contemplates the peaks from warm pools, far from the crowds of beaches.
An Adults Only Spa for Absolute Calm

For those seeking absolute calm, Caldea also offers an Adults Only spa. Inspired by natural formations such as Pamukkale, this space prioritises silence, contemplation, and specialised treatments, within a resolutely peaceful atmosphere. A secluded bubble away from the hustle and bustle, designed for adults seeking to unwind.
A Grand Spa Also Designed for Families

Caldea is one of the few European spas to have genuinely integrated children into its experience. The Classic space is accessible from 5 years old, but the centre also features a Children’s Spa reserved for ages 3 to 8. Located on the first floor, it has been conceived as a true spa for the youngest guests: adults do not enter, children are welcomed by specialised instructors and discover thermal water through an adapted lagoon, a gentle sensory beach, a lounge sauna, a beauty area, a playful jacuzzi, and activities designed to awaken the senses. Meanwhile, parents can enjoy their own experience in complete serenity.
The Plus Space, Next Step Centred Around the Four Elements
The reopening of the Classic space is just the first highlight. In November 2026, Caldea will reopen its Plus space, entirely redesigned around a sensory experience inspired by the four elements. Reserved for adult clientele, it will offer a more emotional and exclusive immersion, with several major new features: a new lagoon on the panoramic terrace, a champagne bar installed directly in the water, a new relaxation area, a fully renovated hammam, and redesigned cabins to host treatments and rituals for two. Each element, fire, water, air, and earth, will give rise to a dedicated ritual, from the theatre of flames to a mineral face mask ritual, passing through a mindfulness experience and a world of warmth and aromatic scents.
Towards a True Destination for Extended Stays

Behind these reopenings, a fundamental project is taking shape. Since 2024 and its 30th anniversary, Caldea is no longer content to be merely a thermal centre: the complex aims to become a full-fledged destination for extended stays. The creation of a new access bridge over the river, followed by the future opening of an integrated hotel, will complete this vision. This is where the core lies: at a time when large spas are transforming into destinations and well-being is becoming a travel motive in itself, a hotel connected to the lagoons would make Caldea an address where one comes to spend several days, and no longer just a few hours. This would firmly establish Andorra on the European map of wellness tourism.
The Classic space reopens on 4th July 2026, with the Plus space to follow in November. All practical information is available on the official Caldea website.
