The rehabilitation was not merely a renovation · it was conceived as an identity overhaul. The building retained its original volumes, but the interior spaces were reorganised to maximise ocean views, which are now central to every stay. The establishment’s new signature, “hotel on the ocean”, encapsulates this intention.
The 50 rooms are spread across five levels, ranging from 12 to 34 sqm, accommodating up to four people, ideal for families and friends alike. Some open onto private sea-facing balconies. Architecture and Design: An Ode to Light
The interior design was conceived in-house by the Younight Hospitality teams, under the direction of Céline Meslin. Designers Xavier Bohuon and Marine Fournier developed a contemporary coastal universe inspired by the ocean, without succumbing to clichés: light tones, natural materials and discreet maritime references. The delicate illustrations by Bordeaux graphic designer Alice Bottigliero define the visual identity of the establishment. Common areas prioritise openings to the outside and natural light, bringing the La Rochelle sea right into the heart of the hotel.

Breakfast, open to both guests and external visitors, showcases fresh, local and short-supply chain products.
