Zinédine Zidane, Deborah Compagnoni and Alex Schwazer Celebrate First Anniversary of Palace Merano’s Sport Recovery Lab

Located in the heart of the city in a historic Belle Époque building, the establishment benefits from Merano’s temperate and sunny microclimate, at the crossroads of Alpine and Mediterranean influences. The **6,000 sqm Revital® Centre** houses a state-of-the-art 1,500 sqm medical floor, dedicated to advanced diagnostics and tailor-made treatments: an integrated medical analysis laboratory, DEXA scanner, bioenergetic and nutritional units, as well as specialised centres for acupuncture, osteopathy, oxygen-ozone therapy, colon hydrotherapy, and regenerative aesthetic medicine.

The culinary offering is an essential element of the experience: the **Palace Detox®, Palace Biolight®, and Palace Sport® nutritional programmes** have been designed to support physical and mental well-being, prioritising fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients.

The spa area features 18 hydro-fango therapy cabins, 6 hydro-jet cabins, 19 aesthetic treatment cabins, meditation and relaxation areas, 2 saunas, a mixed hammam and a women’s hammam, a Kneipp path, an indoor pool, and a large **31-metre outdoor swimming pool** lined with sun loungers and hydro-massage jet pools.

Gathered on the lawns of Palace Merano, the three ambassadors discussed the results achieved during the Sport Recovery Lab‘s first year of operation, while reaffirming the relevance of an approach based on expertise, preventive medicine, recovery, and continuous improvement.

Considered one of the world’s leading authorities in medical wellness and longevity, Palace Merano has for over twenty years developed a personalised approach combining medical expertise, regenerative nutrition, prevention, and the sustainable optimisation of physical and cognitive capacities. Alongside the three ambassadors were also present **Dr Massimiliano Mayrhofer**, Scientific Director and orchestrator of the **Revital® Method**, as well as **Stefano Plotegher**, the establishment’s CEO.

Designed as a space dedicated to both the recovery of high-performance athletes and the sustainable improvement of physical and mental condition for anyone wishing to optimise their health, the Sport Recovery Lab combines **advanced technologies, functional analyses, medical expertise, and personalised support**.

The Sport Recovery Lab comprises a **160 sqm laboratory** dedicated to functional assessments, as well as a **250 sqm fitness area** equipped with the latest Technogym® technologies. Supervised by Alex Schwazer, it allows Palace Merano guests to benefit, upon request, from specific assessment and support focused on performance, endurance, movement, and recovery. This support is included in the Sport Performance programme.
