On an island where one does not drive, luxury is measured differently. In Anacapri, on the heights of Capri, the Jumeirah Capri Palace has built its reputation on two things that seaside palaces do not have: walking, which structures the stay, and the island’s only medical spa.
Anacapri, the other Capri
The Piazzetta, the shops, and the yachts are down below, in Capri. Anacapri is above, calmer, more village-like, and one arrives there via a winding road or by the Phoenician steps, the Scala Fenicia, which has connected the two municipalities since antiquity. The palace has settled on this side, which means accepting to walk, or waiting for the Mount Solaro funicular.

Capri’s only medical spa
The Capri Medical Spa is not a classic hotel spa. It brings together a team of specialists around personalised programmes, blending medical and wellness approaches, and remains the only establishment of its kind on the island. The treatments span several days and combine with the stay.
The Leg School, Dr. Canonaco’s signature
The programme that made the spa famous is called the Leg School. Developed by Professor Francesco Canonaco, it targets venous circulation, capillary strengthening, and tissue tone, with a treatment protocol that alternates drainage, pressure, and dietary regimes. The name might raise a smile, but its popularity does not: it is the treatment for which a portion of the clientele comes.
A season that ends soon
Like most addresses in Capri, the hotel operates seasonally. The 2026 season opened on April 16, with a calendar of gastronomic, cultural, and wellness events, and will close in autumn. This is the island’s rhythm: after October, hydrofoils become scarce and hotels close until spring.
